Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

Today is my Grandpa's Birthday. What better way to celebrate, then with a picture of Grandpa holding me on MY Birthday:

Tonight we will meet Grandpa at his favorite burger joint, and get all of the waitresses to embarrass him by making him stand on a chair and do The Twist. Just kidding, Grandpa! How am I doing, you ask? I'm doing pretty good. I have been battling with some...well, err..."issues" regarding going #2 lately. So, today I start a medicine that was prescribed to me by the doc. Hopefully it will help me tremendously in the #2 area. Since they don't think that my diet is the cause of my "#2 issues," Mom pureed some fresh kiwi and mixed it with mashed banana for my morning snack. Yum. It will be nice to eat something other than prunes for a change! In other news...I'm getting more and more particular EVERY DAY, and am getting really good at letting my intentions be heard loud and clear. For example, Mom and Dad bought me a "daycare" snuggle bear this past Saturday that is similar to my other snuggle bear, so that I could permanently leave it at daycare (for my naps). Well, the snuggle bear they bought me is NOT the same as my old snuggle bear. So, the nice ladies at daycare have to go and fetch my old snuggle bear from my car seat sitting in the hall, because I refuse to take a nap with my new snuggle bear. It just ain't the same, folks! I wonder who I get this trait from...Hmmmmm. Another example: Last night after my bath I grabbed hold of a lotion bottle that I thought was pretty neat. Mom took it away from me and I screamed at her to GIVE IT BACK. So, she gave it back to me. As a test, she decided to take it away again. Yep. You guessed it. I cried and whined and hollered at her until she gave it back to me. When is Mom going to learn that she is not allowed to take something that I find interesting away from me? I need to milk this "cute baby thing" as long as I can, for I know that someday in the near future...it ain't going to fly.

Sippy Cup!

Well, as Mom suspected...work is getting CRAZY! Yesterday, she worked a 12-hour day! Dad showed up at daycare yesterday ALONE to pick me up, and I was curious to know what happened to her. Dad explained that her assistance was needed on some critical stuff at work. So, Dad and I hung out together and ate dinner and came back to pick her up. Mom was so happy to see me after 12.5 hours...her eyes got a little watery! I think 12.5 hours is the longest we have gone without seeing each other (during waking hours).

On a completely unrelated note, here is a short video of me and my new sippy cup. I have no idea what to do with it quite yet...but I know I will master this whole "cup thing" in the near future. Enjoy!:

Sunday Sunday

I know. Mom is OUT OF CONTROL with all the pictures and updates! I think she is getting all that she can in now, because starting tomorrow...her job at work is going to get much more interesting. She isn't sure how much time she will have to spare in the next few weeks (or months). So, enjoy it while you can!

Today has been a great Sunday. It started off with a little bit of R&R around the house (since we got all of our chores done yesterday). I enjoy finding random objects around the house to taste test (that are safe, of course):

I got to try out my shopping seat cover that Nanny bought for me many months before I was even born. I love IT! And, I loved getting a better view of all the sights at the grocery store:

When we got back from Starbucks and the store, I needed a warm bottle and a nap...PRONTO. The nap on Dad was just a bonus:

The Turner's are coming over to the house for dinner tonight. What is on the menu, you ask? Marinated grilled chicken (from the new grill), baked potatoes, ranch and bacon pasta salad, fresh garden salad, and angel food cake with fresh blueberries (and whipped cream) for dessert! I will probably just stick to prunes and sweet potatoes. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Saturday Update

Hey, All!

Welp. So far. This weekend. We have done nothing but eat. Okay, so that isn't the complete truth. In between cleaning up the house and doing laundry and getting prepared for the next week, we have been doing nothing but eating. I got the pictures to prove it! I had Gerber green beans, and Mom and Dad had steak. They wouldn't let me have any, but I did get to try some tiny pieces of their famous bread. Eh. I would rather have my Puffs! Here I am at the BBQ joint right down the street. I hear that their brisket and baked beans are TO DIE FOR. Sigh. I wouldn't know. I had Gerber pears:

Although today is Friday, it doesn't feel like it for Mom. She may be working all weekend, but isn't 100% sure yet. I sure do miss her during the week, and I know she misses me. Hopefully she will be able to spend some quality time with me this weekend. Thank goodness Dad doesn't have to work also. I'm looking forward to seeing what trouble the two of us are going to get into. Maybe a trip to the car wash and a trip to the Apple store? Maybe some laundry and cleaning up around the house? Whoa!

This just in: Mom got the NEW Apple iPhone. What does this mean? Well, it means many more photos (and in much higher quality then her old phone), and tons of video! It is just too easy! You might even get tired of seeing all the pictures and video of me. You may think that my Mother is crazy (or obsessed). Maybe she is! That's okay though, because this Blog is a diary of my life. Someday, she will print it out in hard-copy, and show it to my children. Hope you enjoy (or continue to enjoy).

M&M Shirt

Nope...I'm not referring to Molly and Moses. I'm referring to my shirt! My orange M&M shirt! The neat story behind this shirt is that it was purchased for me in Las Vegas, this exact time last year. Mom and Dad decided to take a trip with some of their co-workers, and they picked this M&M shirt up for me when they were visiting M&M World across the street from their hotel. This shirt is very special to Mom. You see, the story goes something like this: Shortly before their departure on their trip to Las Vegas, Mom had a doctor's appointment where she received some news about the umbilical cord that was hooked up to my belly-button. Most umbilical cords have 3 arteries, and the doctor’s found that my cord only had 2. Mom's Doctor (the one that delivered me), was concerned because this sort of umbilical cord abnormality can sometimes be a "marker" for other things that may not be developing they way they should. So, needless to say...Mom and Dad got very worried and a little scared very quickly. When Mom paid for my M&M shirt, she closed her eyes and said a prayer that I would be a healthy, happy baby wearing this shirt at this time, THIS year. And guess what, ya'll? Her prayers were answered. Here I am! Healthy and happy as can be. I got lots of kisses yesterday wearing this shirt. Maybe I should wear it more often (at least until I grow out of it in the next month or so)!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the AMAZING Father's and Grandfather's out there. This is a day where we appreciate YOU for all that you do for your family, every day of the year:

Nobody nagging at you while you are on the potty. Amen. Also, a very special shout-out to the best Grandfather's in the world: Grandpa, Granddaddy, and Addie! We love you!

Well, we have had a wonderful weekend so far. Devin came to visit with us on Thursday night. I was sooo happy to see her and missed her very much. It had been 4 months since we saw her last. She is SUPER tall now! She was surprised to see how much I had grown also. On Friday, we decided to do some pictures for a collage that we made Dad for Father's Day. Here are some of the pictures we put together for Dad:

Dad loved his collage! All the pictures were in black and white, and we got a nice frame for him to put the collage in.

On Saturday, (after some of "Mom's Famous Breakfast Sandwiches" and Devin's dentist appointment)...we decided to drive up to Larkspur, Colorado to visit the Renaissance Festival (but not before a stop at Taco Bell for lunch):

Devin and I had never been before, and it was a BEAUTIFUL day! We had a great time!
We were greeted in the very beginning by a HUGE gray animal called an ELEPHANT. Whoa!


We got to watch some comedy shows that were going on at different times throughout the day:

I got LOTS of kisses and love while we were resting in the shade. There were LOTS of places to sit and quite a few trees that offered some cool places to hang out and enjoy the scenery:

Mom thinks that I have a career as a dentist because I love sticking my hands in everyone’s mouth. I must inspect those teeth:

We got to see all sorts of people dressed up in all sorts of different costumes. Some of the people worked for the festival, others were folks dressed up to come to the festival:

Devin and Dad are watching all of the people that paid money to try and nail a guy in the face with a tomato. The entire time we stood watching, nobody was able to do it!

I bet if MOM would have tried to nail the guy in the face...she would have been successful. But, she is too frugal to waste her money on something like that. She would rather buy a funnel cake to share (and she did):

Devin decided to kneel down a little bit so that she was even with Mom. She has about 3 inches on Mom now! She is getting soo tall:

We got to see the beautiful Elephants up close and personal. I loved looking at them:

My hand got kissed by a friendly (but slimy) Elephant Trunk. I think the Elephant was looking for food (sort of like what Molly and Moses do all day long):


They were giving Elephant rides. Maybe next year I can ride on one!:

We started watching this creepy looking person dressed up in a costume sitting on a bench. He would just sit and hold perfectly still like a statue. THEN, when you were least suspecting it...he would JUMP out at you and scare everyone! It was soo funny to watch others be surprised by him.

A beautiful Colorado summer day at the Renaissance Festival:

I fell asleep for the last bit of the Festival. Dad, Mom, Devin, and a "local" all got a picture together:

We all had a great time. Devin and I already want to go back next year! After the festival, we came home and ate dinner. Mom and Devin did some Father's Day shopping, and picked up the BBQ Grill that Dad has been eye-balling for YEARS now. YEARS. Every time we walk into Lowe's or Target, Dad walks over to the one particular grill, and lifts up the hood and checks it out. So, we decided we should go ahead and pick it up for him. Nothing says "We love and appreciate you on Father's Day" like a new Weber Grill, right? We couldn't figure out how to get the huge box in the house without Dad's help, so we tricked him into going outside last night and looking in the back of the truck. He was pretty surprised to see a new Grill with a big bow on it with his name on it.
We spent this morning (Father's Day) watching Dad put the grill together. There were lots of parts and it looked pretty complicated.
"Can I help you hook up the gas line, Dad?"

Dad finally got the grill put together, and it is sitting outside waiting to be lit up tonight for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. We are going to grill up some burgers and give this grill a moment to shine.

Well, Dad was super hungry after spending all morning putting that thing together, so we decided to take him to brunch at Perkins. I got to try some tiny pieces of pancake. YUM.
