Weekend in Estes Park

We all had a fantastic weekend in Estes Park for our company work trip. Jeff and I went many moons ago when it used to be in Winter Park. The Estes Park location is SO much better, and we had a great time hanging with co-workers, playing outside, walking around the town, and enjoying some family time together.

We left late Friday morning to make our 2.5 hour trek to Estes. Jeff had to work for a few hours Friday morning but we still managed to get all packed up and out of the house by 11!

Jeff was quick to notice we had to go through Lyons, Colorado on our journey--so he insisted on a stop at the original Oskar Blues!  We had a beer and lunch and then were on our way.

Jeff being Jeff.

We made it to Estes around 4 pm.  We had great weather Friday and Saturday.  Sunday morning we woke up to snow! Which, I guess shouldn't be too surprising considering it is still April.

The kids had a blast running around outside and making new friends with the kids from surrounding cabins.

Catie, Riley, and Rebecca got to hang with us in our cabin!  The kids all had a fun time playing and hanging out and they got to join us for pizza and ice cream on Saturday.

The kids kept asking when we were leaving and were just dreading it from the first hour we arrived.

Creepy Shining shot!  Ha

Saturday morning chaos!

Headed to the craft area

So many rocks to stand and pose on!  The kids didn't know what to do with themselves!

Painting some wood!

At the cool park right outside the craft area. The YMCA ground were HUGE, and we could have easily stayed a few more days.

We found a little pizza place that didn't open until noon--so we decided to wait.  We were all very happy we did--the pizza was excellent and JR and Alex gobbled it up! We will have to go back to Antonio's next time for sure.

Ice Cream in town after pizza.  Stuffed!

After ice cream we walked around for a bit and checked out some of the cool shops.

Hey little blue bird.  And we got to see many deer and elk around the property.

And there was some of this--screen time.  Ha!

Bonding over the ipad!

The kids watching  a little RC car go about 80 miles per hour!

It was so nice that the company provided all the food--all we had to do was cook it up.  It was nice to get to know some of our co-workers and their families a little better. We will definitely be back!

We made a stop at Dickey's in Denver for lunch on our way home.  Manged to catch up on all of our weekend chores, and I got to sneak off to Villa for a workout.  A quick park trip and dinner and we were ready for the week.  Looks like some colder temps and possibly more snow is lined up for this weekend.  I'm signed up to run in a 5K for JR's school, and then a house warming part for Auntie K and Trent on Saturday afternoon make up our future plans.

April 2016 Family Photos!

Our family photos that were taken a few weeks back are in! I had a HARD time choosing just 20. We were very pleased and I can't wait to hang them around the house.
