The Results are IN....

...and it looks like I'm going to have a LITTLE SISTER!! . That's right! I will share all the details of the party with you below, but I figured I would get the big news out of the way first. The cake was PINK PINK PINK!!! I couldn't be happier.
The official results that were filled out last Wednesday by the ultrasound tech:

On Friday night we met Ms. GG for dinner at Smashburger, and then Dad and I went home so Mom and Ms. GG could finish up the party shopping. On Saturday, we did a few things around the house to help pass the time. Mom made cookies (yum):

And we had a new hot water heater installed. Fun! In the late afternoon we packed up the car and headed out for Monument. The party was being held at The Gillings' palace, and we decided to go up early so we could help set up. Ms. GG made voting stickers so that all of our guests had a chance to vote on what they thought each family was going to have (a boy or a girl). This was Mom's official vote (which we now know was WRONG).

This was Ms. GG's vote (which we now know was CORRECT).

Danny G and I had matching shirts. They had "I'm the Big Brother" on the front of them.

Having fun before the guests arrived:

Mom and Dad excited for the party:

Mom and Ms. GG both had their own opinion as to what pickles should be served:

We were all very excited once the cakes and cupcakes arrived (Ms. Susie setting up the cake table):

One cake had "Baby W" on it and the other had "Baby G" .

They turned out beautifully and so did the cute little baby cupcakes:

It was so great to be able to see so many of our friends! Grandma and Grandpa came too! At one point in the party...there must have been close to 50 people. What a great turnout! Auntie K and Auntie A:

Auntie Ami and Dayna:

Dad hanging out:

Finally after everyone had a chance to fill their bellies with all the awesome food, it was time to cut the cake! (Grandma was trying to entice me to go to her in this picture). Would you believe that I decided right before it was time to cut the cake...to poop my diaper? Ahh yes. I always look for the best opportunity and the best timing. Poor Grandpa had to hold me the entire time. Sorry about that, Grandpa!

Everyone gathering for the cake cutting:

Ms. Jen and Ms. Junior!

Auntie K and Auntie A:

Dad making sure that Mumsie and Granddaddy were set up to see the cake via Facetime from Dallas:

Since Mom was so nervous, it was decided that The Gillings would cut into their cake first.

In the two pictures below, Ms. GG had cut right in and moved the cake to the side enough so that she could see it was pink...but nobody else could (the actual pink coloring was in the center of the cake...not on the outside so you had to cut all the way in to see the color).

She announced..."It's a GIRL" and everyone went crazy clapping and cheering:

Next up was our cake!!! The suspense was CRAZY. At this point Mom was totally thinking she was going to be seeing BLUE cake. First cut:

2nd cut:

Nope! She was wrong. PINK!!!

In this picture I think everyone is in total shock. Two baby GIRLS!! I am going to have a little sister and Daniel is also going to have a little sister! Good thing we are in this together (-:

Yep...no doubt about it...the cake is PINK:

Baby Wright's cake:

Baby Gillings' cake:

Oh, and in case you were wondering what that yellow stuff is...well, the cake flavor was PINK Lemonade. So you are seeing a yellow lemon filling that was SOOOOO GOOOOD:

The Aunties serving up the PINK Lemonade cakes:

We were all very excited (and shocked) from the results. Dad was missing in this picture because he was outside calling Nanny and Adie:

It was so great to be able to celebrate this special occasion with our friends and family. Now we get to decide on a name, and decorate a nursery! On Sunday morning we decided to go to breakfast to The Egg and I:

We spent the rest of our weekend hanging out around the house and soaking in the news. Tonight we have Grandma and Grandpa coming over for BBQ leftovers. Tomorrow is my 20th haircut, and the rest of the week is pretty open! Hope everyone has a great week!

Sibling Update!

Hey, All! Thought I would share the outstanding news that Mom and Dad went to the BIG ultrasound for my baby brother/sister yesterday, and everything checked out WONDERFUL. No known issues or concerns. Remember with me they had a bit of a scare because my umbilical cord had not formed correctly? It turned out to be no big deal, but it was considered a marker for other potential issues and it really scared them both. This time everything looks normal, and we all couldn't be happier. This was all welcomed news as the beginning of this week had a very rough start. Molly had to see the vet for an issue involving her rear-end, Mom forgot her iPhone on the top of her car and it ended up getting ran over, and our hot water heater needs to be replaced! It has been crazy. The ultrasound tech also told Mom and Dad that she got a clear shot of "The Goods" so we will know for sure on Saturday if I will have a little sister or a little brother. When Mom asks me what I want...I always say "Seester." So, we shall see if I get my request! I also can't wait to find out if Danny G will have a little sister or a brother.
The results sealed in envelopes ready to be dropped off with Susie so that she can make the inside of the cakes accordingly (they are being dropped off tonight):

Yesterday evening I got to hang with Danny G for a bit. His folks had an anniversary to celebrate, so he was dropped off with us for the evening. We had fun playing with cars, running around, throwing the football, putting together puzzles, looking at books, and eating pizza.

I also seized the opportunity to try on Daniel's shoes once they were available:

Have I told you about my shoe fetish? Almost every day at daycare when Mom and Dad come to pick me up...I'm wearing somebody else’s shoes. They don't have to belong to a male classmate! Turns out I don’t mind trying on pink sandals with rhinestones shaped like hearts! I do not discriminate.

Well, hope everyone has a good finish to their week. The good news from the ultrasound yesterday has definitely turned our week around.

Weekend Update

Monday? Already? How did this happen?

Well, I would like to say we had a great weekend. Well, it started off great! On Friday evening we went down to Tthe Gump's casa for an early Birthday celebration for Ms. Junior. She is turning 28 later this week. Woo Hoo! We had a wonderful time celebrating with her and her family and some of our good friends. Oh, and there was pizza AND homemade spaghetti AND cake! WIN!
Using a grown-up fork and grubbin on some pizza:

Ms. Junior's Mom and Dad just got a new puppy named Riley! He was soo cute. I enjoyed petting him using my "gentle" touch. Here is a picture of Ms. Leah (Ms. Junior's cousin holding Riley):

Mom and I being silly on their back deck:

Ms. Junior blowing out her Birthday candle (yes...candle is singular). She requested a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and her hubby did not disappoint:

Auntie K, Auntie A, Ms. Leah, Ms. Junior and Mom:

Giggling at Mom from across the table:

It was a great evening, and totally wore me out. Turns out I slept in until 8:30 on Saturday morning! On Saturday, we did the norm around the house...sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning, mowing and trimming. On Saturday evening The Smith Family came over for pizza and playtime. I had a blast running around the yard and playing catch with the football with Spenser and Dayna. On Sunday...Dad woke up with some really bad neck pain. So, Dad was laid out on the couch all day )-: Not how we had planned on spending our Sunday. I would like to report that he is feeling better today, but he isn't. Poor Daddy. So, hopefully he finds some relief and finds it fast. In other news...Mom made Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti for dinner last night and it was YUMMY. The picture does not do it justice:

Mom has her BIG ultrasound on Wednesday, and we are going to be busy preparing for the party on Saturday. Can't wait!
