Weekly Update!

Officially at the Christmas homestretch! In one week, we will be in Dallas! Santa is coming to visit in Colorado before we leave just a few days early, and we have a lot to do between now and then. It is the BUSIEST time of year--that is for sure! Mom is holding her breath that everyone stays healthy--Alex seems to have a small cough, and Dad seems to have another sinus infection? Hopefully everyone fights it all off before next week.

Alex and I went to Isabella's Birthday party on Saturday afternoon. She was turning 6! Isabella was in my preschool class for a short time before she moved up to Kindergarten, but her younger brother...Alexander, is in my class now. Of course Mom failed to get any pictures of the event!

On Sunday, Alex and I climbed in Moses' crate. Mom saw an opportunity to lock the door--so she did. 2 minutes of pure bliss for her and Dad! LOL


On Sunday afternoon, Mom left us to go to another cookie exchange at Auntie Amber's house. She had a great time enjoying some tasty food and beverage, and brought home some wonderful cookies!


After she arrived home from the exchange, she took Alex and I to the store and to Wendy's for dinner. Alex is almost 2 years old, and this was Mom's first time taking us out to eat without the assistance of Dad. We all survived--barely!




Oh! Here is a video of Alex and Mommy singing Happy Birthday to Nanny on December 6th. Mom meant to post this video earlier, and just now got around to it. Alex doesn’t talk as much as I did at this age, so it is pretty darn cute to hear her sing an entire song. She sure is cute!

And STILL missing quite a bit of teeth! Gives her character, doesn't it?

This Saturday we have a cookie decorating event to attend, and a Christmas party. Santa comes on Saturday night, and we are going to see Grandma and Grandpa on Sunday. Then, it will be a mad dash to get my haircut, get laundry done, and pack for our flight out of Denver on Monday morning! This may be my last update for a few weeks--so everyone please have a wonderful Holiday!

Brrr! It is COLD!

It has uhhhh...been a little CHILLY around here lately!

Sure! A couple days here and there are fine! Hey! It is winter in Colorado, right? But after 5-6 days it starts to get old. We should be warming up a little bit this week...so hopefully the snow will melt away and Molly will start pooping OUTSIDE again! LOL (she is not a huge fan of pooping in the cold).

Did I mention we are going to have to start weaning Alex of her pacifier soon? Should be a hoot! Not.




We all had a fairly decent week. Mom went to kickboxing on Saturday morning and tweaked her back. Boo! Seems to happen about twice a year...and this would be the 2nd time!

I went with Mom to a cookie exchange in Yoder on Saturday afternoon. One of Mom's co-workers goes all out every year with food and decorations, and Mom has never been able to attend. So this year...she decided we would go! Alex stayed behind as the party took place right in the middle of naptime. I was on my best behavior, and all the ladies were very impressed. I also fell asleep on the long ride home.

We took it pretty easy on Sunday (both Mom and Dad were resting their backs). Gosh. Are they getting old or what? We did make it out of the house to visit Grandma and Grandpa Sunday afternoon, and we picked up some dinner on our way home.

I was sad to be dropped off at school today. Just...not in the mood. Mom reminded me that we will be headed to Texas on an airplane in just TWO weeks, so that cheered me up a little bit.

Mom Goes on Vacation & Thanksgiving Weekend!

Phew! It has been awhile!

Mommy left snowy Colorado on November 23rd, for THIS:

I know, right?? Not fair! Alex and I stayed with Daddy while Mom enjoyed 3 days on the beach in Punta Cana! She had an amazing trip, and found it very weird that the only agenda she had every day, was to sleep, eat, drink, visit with friends, and relax. It was just what she needed. Alex, Daddy and I got along just fine without her. Sure, we missed her...but we got to Facetime with her everyday at least once...and sometimes twice! She got to spend her Birthday in paradise, and we made cinnamon rolls in her honor:

Auntie K and Trent got married on Tuesday, the 26th! They went on a sunset cruise that included snorkeling, and drinking fresh coconut juice on the beach. It was wonderful.

After the beach wedding ceremony, everyone had dinner at the steak house and ate wedding cake. Check out that beautiful cake!

Mom's trip was super smooth, and she came back feeling refreshed with no complaints. Dad did a terrific job taking care of Alex and I, and I'm pretty sure Mom owes him BIG TIME. Mom came back just in the nick of time, as Daddy tweaked his back and needed her help doing some of the heavy lifting.

Thursday was Thanksgiving, and we went to Don and Margaret's for Thanksgiving Dinner. There was a turkey AND a Honey Baked Ham. All the side dishes and fixings you can think about, and THREE pies including Grandma's famous Chocolate Cream Pie.

Enough said!

We (minus Dad) ended up doing all the Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving. Dad was in a lot of pain, so Mom figured out how to put up TWO Christmas trees unassisted. Alex and I helped out quite a bit. I noticed an ornament with my picture on it from when I was about 2 years old. I told Mommy, "Look! It is me when I was a toddler!"

Alex decided the dryer was a good place to hang out for a bit. Pretty sure Mom has a couple shots of me hanging out in the dryer at about this same age.


Mom and Dad went out for Mom's Birthday dinner Saturday evening with The Loomis'. Alex and I hung out with Grandma and Grandpa and they let me stay up WAY past my bedtime. No wonder I like it so much when they come over to babysit (-:

On Sunday, we did chores around the house. Alex and I went with Mom to the grocery store on Sunday afternoon. We were in the produce section when I noticed that a lady was going for a produce bag about the same time Mom was. So, Mom handed her a bag and then tore herself off one. I said, "Mommy!! That was soo nice of you!!" We all laughed (including the other lady). I'm pretty cute! We went out to dinner on Sunday night to The Elephant Bar. It had been quite some time since we attempted going to a decent restaurant, and Alex and I did pretty darn good at being patient and sitting still while waiting for our food.



We got ice cream sundaes with our kids meals. Yummmmm....

We had a wonderful 4-day weekend together. Mom was so happy to be home, and was glad she got to spend a few extra days with us before having to go back to work. Just 3 weeks until we leave for Dallas for Christmas! December is going to be a busy month.
