Another Trip To The Pharmacy

Hey, All. Hope you are doing well! I'm doing pretty good today, but Tuesday evening was a different story. I had my bath, and bedtime bottle...and went to bed just like every other night...but at about 1:00 AM, I woke Mom and Dad up with a bad cough and some heavy wheezing. I guess I sort of freaked Mom out because she told Dad to throw on his shoes so that we could head to the hospital. Dad sat down with me and rocked me for a little while, and I fell back asleep and was back to breathing normal. So, Mom decided to call Dr. Reich, and actually spoke to her (which was a surprise as she had no idea she would be waking Dr. Reich up in the middle of the night when she called the after-hours number). Dr. Reich suspected that I had come down with Croup, which is a symptom of RSV (highly contagious). She told Mom that a trip to the hospital wouldn't be necessary, and to steam up the bathroom if I had another attack. Thankfully I did not, so we picked up some Prednisone (a steroid) the next morning to help treat the symptoms and I have been doing pretty good ever since. Turns out my buddy Gavin DID make a trip the ER on Tuesday night, and the ER doctors diagnosed him with Croup also. I went back to daycare today, and it is business as usual. Mom wishes she could keep me in a bubble!

Oh, and our photographer from Sunday posted more pictures that were captured. Mom and Dad think they turned our really well. Enjoy!:

Fun Fall Weekend

Hey, All! Tuesday already. Can you believe it? We sure did have a fun weekend, especially since I got to feeling much better and Mom's back was almost 100%. On Friday evening, we took it easy and just hung out around the house. On Saturday, we got up early and went to one of our favorite bagel/coffee places: Einstein Bagels! Mom dressed me up in my Broncos attire (maybe she jinxed them), and off we went!

Mom and Dad finished up some errands, and I took a record-breaking nap. 3 HOURS. I was one tired little dude! On Saturday night, Mom and Dad's friends came over so they could get ready for their Halloween Party. Let me tell you...I witnessed some things that I have NEVER seen before! Like Dad and Uncle Boyd in make-up and wigs! Let's hope that I'm not scarred for life. Auntie Hannah came over to hang at the house while I slept, and they all went to their party.

They dressed up as a Roller Derby Team. Aren't they funny?:

They had a really good time, and even won best costume!! Woo Hoo!

On Sunday afternoon we had my One-Year Photos taken! Remember the ones we were suppose to have a few weeks back? Mom was so happy that there wasn't a blizzard...in fact it was perfect Fall weather and perfect Fall colors. I was pretty tired during the entire shoot, but I didn't have a single meltdown. The lady that took our pictures gave us a sneak peak at a few of them:

I think they turned out pretty good! Mom and Dad just absolutely LOVE THEM, and can't wait to see the rest. She took over 1,000 photos, so there will be plenty more to come. Since we were all dressed up after photos, we went to Red Lobster for Dinner. It was a great way to end a great weekend. Hope everyone has had a great Monday!

Holy Crazy Week!

Hey, All! Is it REALLY Friday already? Wow. This week has been sort of crazy. It started off pretty good, but come Wednesday…I was coming down with my 3rd Ear Infection. Mom and Dad are getting pretty good at being able to tell when I have something going on. I get fussy, and clingy, and tired, and I sort of get a “glazed” look in my eyes…and I start tugging at my ear (my right ear in this case), and I start running a fever. So, Mom and Dad took me to see Dr. Reich on Thursday morning…and it was confirmed! Ear Infection #3 in my Right Ear only. Doc was hoping my fever was due to a delayed reaction from all the shots I had last week, but NOPE. No talk of sending me to an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist…yet. Dr. Reich would like to see how the winter goes, and thinks that it is a good thing that the antibiotics seem to knock out the infection. She told us that I’m exposed to all sorts of "stuff" being at daycare full-time, and that I may just be prone to ear infections until my immune system has had more time to develop. So, we are hopeful that I will grow out of these soon. To top it off…Mom tweaked her back again…so Dad has had to do the “heavy lifting” around the house. The good news is, I’m feeling much better today and Mom is finally able to stand up straight. Yay!

Oh, and I’m happy to report that we received some of the “favorite” professional pictures from my 1st Birthday this week. We think they turned out really great! First, Mom has attached pictures from Mumsie’s camera. I bet you will be able to tell a slight difference between Mumsie’s pics and the professional pics (-; Your pics were still great and very appreciated, Mumsie!

"I'm doing pretty good, eh?"

"Ummm. Mom? Camera is still here!"
