Nah. We Aren't at ALL Related

So. There is a huge debate as to who I look like (Mom or Dad). Let these pictures settle the score:

In case you couldn't tell..these are pictures of MOM when she was a baby. Pretty crazy, right?

Have a great start to your week!

Here Comes Trouble!

That's right, ya'll! I'm A Crawler! This means...the days of Mom and Dad sticking me in one spot and me staying put are OVER. They are trying to embrace my mobility with open arms. Baby proofing the house is now in full swing (which includes Post-It notes on all doors reminding everyone to "CLOSE DOOR" so I don't take a journey down the stairs).
Here I am crawling for the remote control to the TV (one of my favorite items):

I'm also starting to pull up! Look out!
Here I am crawling to find the Carbon Monoxide Detector (another one of my favorite things):

In other news...we have been having a great weekend. Friday night we enjoyed a patio dinner outside at Noodles:

Mom had a baby shower to go to yesterday, so Dad and I hung out and enjoyed some "Guy Time" together. Today, Mom has ANOTHER baby shower to go to...so Dad and I will be hanging out again! After the shower, we are going to Birthday Party. Tis a busy day full of fun. Hope you all are enjoying your the rest of your Sunday.

Recuperating!

Hi, All. Well. I *was* going to title this post "It's a Darn Miracle That I Didn't/Haven't Caught the 24-Hour Stomach Virus That Mom and Dad Had," but...I decided that I didn't want to jinx anything! So...

WE had a pretty good weekend! We got up on Saturday morning and went and toured 7 houses in the area. We all really liked 2 of the houses we visited, but Mom and Dad found a couple of things with them that they weren’t too crazy about. One of the houses was amazing, but then we went down to the basement...and things sort of got weird. It had no storage and the basement was only partially finished. The other house was also really nice, but it had a fairly small backyard and a small garage. So, we have decided that we are going to wait for the PERFECT house before we make our "move." I was just as happy as can be touring all the houses and seeing all there was to see. After house hunting...we spent the rest of the weekend relaxing and hanging out with no set plans in mind. It was nice. I even had some time to brush up on my piano skills:

Grandma and Grandpa did come over on Saturday night for pizza.
"What are you looking at, Grandpa?"

"Hmmm. What am I missing here?"

"Oh! Ooops. Guess I didn't get the memo. Picture Time!"

On Sunday, Cousin Todd and Cousin Sam came into town and met us for lunch at Bird Dog BBQ. They live in Florida, so they came quite a long distance!

Dad let me try a pickle (for the 2nd time), and I LOVED it:

See! Proof. Are babies suppose to like sour pickles? Hmmmmm.
Dad and I being goofy around the house:

After lunch with the cousins on Sunday afternoon, we decided to take a trip to Target for groceries. This is about the time...everything started to go downhill for Mom. She started complaining that her belly was hurting her, and tried to shake it off. She seemed to be doing better later in the evening...but shortly after Mom and Dad decided to go to bed...everything went seriously downhill. She got super sick, and was not a happy camper at all (I will spare you the details). Dad had to take care of me the entire next day (Monday) as Mom was trying to recuperate from an entire night spent in and around the bathroom. Dad really did a good job doing all the daily chores and taking care of Molly and Moses (and Me). The 3 of us can be quite the handful! Mom was feeling VERY icky. But, she woke up on Tuesday morning feeling like a new Mom. It wasn't shortly after we were up for the day, that Dad looked at Mom and said "I feel weird." Uh Oh. We all knew what was coming! It was just a matter of time before Dad was spending his day in and around the bathroom. Mom and Dad were SUPER worried that I was next. So, they did everything they could to keep my hands clean and keep their hands clean, and keep me away from this nasty virus. I'm happy to report that I'm still doing great, and have no signs of the bug. Everyone keep their fingers crossed that it stays this way! Dad decided to stay home from work again today, as he is still not 100%. But, he is feeling MUCH better than he was feeling yesterday.

Hope all of you are staying healthy. Until next time...wash those hands! There is obviously something nasty going around.

TGIF

How about we start this post off with a video of me clapping, and trying to crawl?

Ahhh. Wasn't that nice? Aren't I cute? I knew you would enjoy it.

This week has just flown right on by. On Wednesday I went to Mom and Dad's company picnic. I had a great time hanging out on my blanket and watching all the activities. I also got to see my buddy Daniel, and I met two new babies.

From Left to Right (Catie and Baby Riley who is now 12 weeks old, Mom and I, Ginger and Baby Daniel who is now 13 months old, and Sarah and Baby Oliver who is 5 months old)

Enjoying my time at the company picnic at Fox Run National Park:

Dad and I checking out the scenery:

We don't have much planned for the weekend. I'm going to go and look at some houses with Mom and Dad tomorrow morning. They are thinking about making the move! Our first step is to go out and see what is out there. Tomorrow night we are going to dinner with some family that is in town, and on Sunday we may go up to Green Mountain Falls and visit the place Mom and Dad got married. Hope you have a great start to the weekend.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

Today is the Mom and Dad's 3rd Anniversary! I'm super fortunate that they met almost 6 years ago, and got married 3 years ago on this day. Here are some pictures from this very special day.
My Mom before the wedding ceremony (it was a GORGEOUS day outside):

My Dad before the wedding ceremony (Dad had a bad cold and had lost his voice):

Oooh. Look at that cake (lemon cake with lemon filling and buttercream frosting)!:

Mom tells me that her wedding day was a gorgeous day, and was one of the best day's of her life. Today Mom and Dad's work is having their company picnic at a park nearby. Mom is going to pick me up early from daycare so that I can join in on the fun. Two picnics within one week! After the picnic, I'm going to go to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa while Mom and Dad go have a nice dinner alone. I wanted to come along, but I'm really not that in to fondue.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Sunday Afternoon in the Park

Happy Monday? Eh. I'm not convinced. I just wanted to sleep-in this morning and be left alone! Oh well. Hopefully this week flies by as fast as the weekend did.

Yesterday, I got to experience my first picnic in a park! Although, Mom sort of "cheated" the picnic menu by insisting on a quick stop at the sub shop instead of making sandwiches. I had a great time sitting on the soft blanket and eating some snacks...enjoying the perfect summer day: Not too hot, not too cold.
I'm so cool, I got to wear Shades:

Enjoying my picnic:

"Oooh. GRASS."

Enjoying some lap time on Big Sis:

After enjoying our time in the shade, we walked around the big lake in Memorial Park. On our way home from our picnic, we made an obligatory stop at 7-11 for Free Slurpees (in honor of July 11th). Twas a perfect end to a great weekend!

Summer Fun at Auntie K's

It can't be Sunday already? It is? Wow! This weekend is just flying on by. Yesterday we spent some time running around gathering a little bit of this and a little bit of that. In the late afternoon, we went to Auntie K's for her BBQ Bash. It was a great time had by all. There was plenty of good friends and good food and lots of laughs! Mom also got PLENTY of pictures. So, please enjoy the show!
My buddy Daniel got a couple visits from a pup named "Butters." Butters was super friendly and loved playing with Daniel:

Mom thinks a puppy and a baby playing together has to be one of the cutest things:

Disclaimer: Mom thinks the self-portrait mode on her iPhone is the best thing EVAH. So, forgive her for all the goofy self-portraits.
Mom, Auntie Amber and C-man:

We are not at all related:

Being super silly:

Mom found Auntie Amber's glasses. I think they make me look pretty darn stylin:

"Weird. Everything has a yellow-ish tint!"

"Okay, Mom. I have had about enough. I'm tired of this game."

Devin was tired of the picture game before it even started!:

Here she is being a team player!:

Carissa Junior and Auntie Karissa. Carissa Junior went to the Summer Olympics back in 2008. She is SUPER strong and SUPER nice:

It was Ginger's Birthday. It was so great to celebrate with her:

Mmmm. Dinner time!:

Then it got dark...but the fun didn't stop:

Having a good time:

Devin got teased about Justin Bieber all night long. She still managed to put on her happy face:

It was so great to see everyone and get to hang with my sister. She will be going back to Dallas at the end of the summer, so we are trying to enjoy every minute we can with her.
Today we have plans to do a picnic in the park. I'm looking forward to enjoying some more fun in the sun with my family. Hope your Sunday is a good one!
