Grandpa's Weekend!

We had a terrific week! I went on a field trip to the Splash Park on Friday, and Alex's class got to visit the "General Store" at school!

Today is Grandpa's 65th Birthday, we are sure are glad we got to spend a lot of time with him and Grandma this past weekend.

Mom was finally able to French Braid Alex's hair! She sat still long enough for her to go it.

Mom snapped a picture of her beautiful orchid that is in full bloom. Alex and I love to run over to it daily, and check for new flowers and to see if any old ones have fallen.

We joined The Loomis family for a Mexican dinner on Friday night, and woke up bright and early to get ready for our 2nd North Pole trip of the season with Grandma and Grandpa! We had a LOVELY day! The weather was perfect, and everyone hung very well...we made it until about 3:00 when we decided to leave.
Selfies with Grandma on the Sky Ride!

Grandpa enjoyed carrying Alex around:

Special picture opp with Santa! Santa told Grandpa that he had "unfinished business with him." HAHAHAH!

Waiting for the "choo choo" as Alex called it (and has mentioned it several times since Saturday):

Mom, Grandpa and Alex enjoyed feeding the deer while Grandma, Daddy, and myself rode the Ferris wheel. Nobody is brave enough to do the Ferris wheel with Alex, after her dramatic and traumatic freak-out experience at the top last year with Mom. No thank you!!

Taking a break...I'm such a goof!

Mom and I on the Carousel ride (we rode quite a few times). Alex was a little braver than she was during our last trip, but she still stuck to the pretty quiet, simple, and family-friendly rides.

Time for an afternoon treat of ice cream and funnel cake. Mmmmmmmm....

Grandma and Grandpa bought Alex a new pair of sunglasses. Her other pair is MIA. She sure does love her new pair!

One of many Carousel rides:

Dad caught this picture of the ladies on the Sky Ride:

2nd train ride of the day!

Since we started near the back of the park, we got to end our trip near the front of the park. 5 times down the Candy Cane Slide, and a ride on the old Model T's with Grandpa...and we were ready to head home.

Passed out, about 5 mins after leaving the park.

Alex did ride the Lady Bug ride 3 times all by herself. Mom put her on the rocket-ship ride per her request, but the ride operator ended up having to stop the ride to let Alex off. She was NOT digging it...at all. We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to take Grandma and Grandpa to the zoo this summer.
On Sunday, we let Dad sleep in a bit. After mom's workout, we decided to get all sunscreened up, and get our suits on for some fun splashing around in the sun. It was...HOT! And oh so nice to be outside enjoying the warm weather. Finally! Summer feels like it is here,

We had a blast playing in the giant bathtub all morning:

Moses LOVES being outside relaxing in the shade.

Sun baby did NOT want to come in for lunch and a nap:

We had to promise she could get right back in after her nap...and we both did! Right back in the pool! And it was soooo nice and warm:

We ran a few errands, and Grandma and Grandpa came over for pizza and ice cream cake!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

He was given a very special drawing for his Birthday, and he loved it...and we are so happy!

Short week, this week! I have a visit with the dentist on Wednesday before swimming lessons...sounds like Ms. Christiana is back and doing much better. Thursday, Cousin Rob and Micki are coming to visit on their way home from Montana. Friday is the 4th...NO school! Woo Hoo! We don't have much planned, but we are going to have a Saturday BBQ with our friends! Can't wait...busy month of July ahead.

Weekly Update!

We had a very nice week, and weekend. Unfortunately, Ms. Christiana fell and hurt her head last week...so no swimming lessons took place last week, and won't be taking place tomorrow. Instead, we met Grandma and Grandpa for dinner at Gunther Toodie's! It has been a LONG time since we met them for Burger Night...and we are sure are glad we did!

Mom was able to give Alex a FULL pony tail last week! Her hair is finally at the length where she can rock a fuly pony!

Modeling her Pony Tail:

I had a field trip on Friday, to the park! AND...I got to participate in a Pottery workshop. We have been taking full advantage of many trips to the park after dinners and during the weekends. The weather hasn't been TOO hot, so we have been getting outside as much as possible.

We went to The Loomis' Housewarming Party on Saturday night. The kids got to hang with Ms. Nikki and Ms. Casssie from daycare, and the adults had a great time visiting in peace! It was a great party. On Sunday morning...we went on a bike ride and Dad pulled us in the trailer. WE made a stop at the park, and a stop to see the ducks.

After naps, we made a Fro Yo stop and went to visit Grandma and Grandpa for a bit Sunday afternoon.

Bath time bearded babies!

This week, I'm going on a field trip to the splash park! Ms. Alex is doing just excellent...we are all happy and healthy and couldn't ask for more.

In The Summer Time...

Let's see...we had a fairly great week! Lots of fun events lining up for the rest of the summer, and it seems daycare has a lot of fun stuff going on just about every day!

Last Wednesday, Alex and I went with Mom to a "VIP Kids Event" at The Egg and I. We got there early enough...that we had the playroom they had set-up to ourselves. We also got to decorate our own pancakes!

"Yes...we would like a little pancake with our candy for breakfast."

I had my own personal assistant who kept setting up bowling pins for me. Score!

Alex decided she was over her fear of balloons (thank goodness), and also had a great time.

Pin the tail on the Egg!

We had a great breakfast, and enjoyed getting dropped off much later than usual for daycare. It was a pretty short day, as Mom picked up both Alex and I for swimming lessons. Alex completely freaked out in the dressing room when a lady turned on the hair dryer while Mom was trying to get me ready.
Alex loved watching my lesson! She sat quietly on mom's lap the entire time and watched as Ms. Christiana practiced with me.

On Thursday, we had "Donuts with Dad" at school. So, Dad and Grandpa got to watch a little performance by my class, and enjoy some donuts for an afternoon snack. Dad picked up Alex from her classroom, and she got to join my class for the fun.

I got to go to Trampoline World with my class on Friday, and apparently had a great time. Friday evening on our way to the park...we noticed our neighbors had a bounce house set up! I enjoyed jumping and making some friends with some neighborhood kids while Dad and Alex ventured on down to the park.

On Saturday morning, we went to my friend Savannah's 4th Birthday part at Little Monkey Bizness. It was a nice, quiet, and small birthday party...and Alex warmed up nicely. She even got brave enough to let me help her to the top of the play gym!

Savannah's Birthday party had a "Frozen" theme!

Savannah and I being totally silly.

It is hard to see in this picture, but that is Alex! Yes, Alex! Making her way to the very top of the play gym. And she got herself all the way back down, too! Without freaking out! Go Alex! Dad was a little worried he was going to have to find a way up there if she decided she wasn't having it. Phew!

Alex and I took long afternoon naps, and then woke up to some beautiful weather. So, we decided to get out the water table and get in our swim suits. Bad idea. Within 30 minutes, a cold front moved in and it got really chilly and windy. Lame!
Enjoying the first 20 mins of warmth!

We were determined to stay outside!

And Mom captured this shot for blackmail, or my high school yearbook my senior year. HAHAHHAHAHH

We finished off our evening relaxing, and Dad went to meet a buddy for some "guy time" as an early Father's Day present.

Sunday, was Father's Day! We let Dad sleep in until 10:00. Then, we woke him up with cards and dragged him to Einstein Bagels for...bagels!

We made a quick stop at the park at Rudy Elementary, and came home for naps. Alex and I napped for THREE hours! And Mom got to nap also! On Father's Day! Amazing.

Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner and to visit! Burgers on the grill, sweet corn, potato salad, beans, and OMG CHOCOLATE FRENCH SILK PIE FOR DESSERT. Yum!

Grandpa waiting patiently for his pie:

Grandma has always known how to cut some generous slices!

It was a very nice visit with Grandma and Grandpa.

Alex and I have a lot going on this week at school. My "Splash Day" is happening today, and Alex has one tomorrow. I also have a field trip to the park, and a pottery workshop on Friday! We will be visiting The Loomis family on Saturday for their house warming party. Hope everyone has a great week!
