Easter Weekend

Phew! What a busy weekend! A couple Birthday parties and Easter Celebrating kept us super busy, and we were lucky to get to enjoy it all...before Alex and I got hit with a mysterious virus yesterday. Boo!

On Saturday morning, we made a stop at Costco for a few items and some lunch! After nap, Dad and I took off to Alexander's 4th Birthday party at Little Monkey Bizness.

Alex and Mom went to Riley's 4th Birthday Part at School's Crossing. Alex stayed pretty close to Mom the entire party, but you could tell she still had a really great time!

Riley had an awesome dinosaur cupcake cake!

Silly Girl!

Munchin' on Snacks:

Rebecca (Riley's little sister) and Riley's Grandmother enjoying the party:

Time to open presents!

Baby Liam (Ms. Rita's little grandbaby). What a ham!

Alex and I both had a great time at the parties. Happy 4th Birthday's to Riley and Alexander!

We took it easy on Saturday night, and the Easter Bunny came early on Sunday morning. Alex and I got hooked up with Band-Aids, socks, chap stick, gardening tools and flower seeds, TONS of candy (that will probably last us until Halloween), and a few toys!

We joined our friends at Alexa's house for a light brunch, and an Easter Egg Hunt. Alexa has the PERFECT backyard for a hunt, and everyone had a blast looking for eggs filled with toys, candy and coin!
The Mom's were taking "before" pictures while the Dad's were outside hiding all the eggs:

Getting ready to go get our hunt on:

Action shot!

Isabella and her basket full of eggs:

"Eagle-Eye Alex" did a great job...especially after all that "practice" last weekend. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing!

More action:

I didn't do too bad myself! Mom and Dad were very happy to see all the sharing and kindness that was going around during the hunt. Some of my buddies didn't have as many eggs, and nobody hesitated to hand over some of their stash. The older kids helped the younger kids, and nobody argued over who spotted what egg first. It was very nice!

Isabella and Alexa posing with their eggs:

And a few "after" shots!

We were all too excited to actually look at the picture takers.

Alex enjoyed going through her eggs...and tried to eat every jelly bean she came across.

Everyone had a very enjoyable time.

We were ready for lunch and naps when we got home!

After nap...coloring with some of our new markers:

The weather was beautiful, so we took advantage and went for an afternoon walk.

Grandma and Grandpa joined us for Easter dinner from Boston Market. And Grandma made this lovely Easter cake. It was chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and Peeps and chocolate chips on top. It looked like a Sunflower. Grandma "beefed" up the box cake by adding coffee, cinnamon, and MAYO!! It was soo tasty and moist.
I was quite excited about it:

WHAT? Another Egg Hunt? Well, Grandma and Grandpa wanted to see just how good Alex and I are at hunting for eggs:

We had a wonderful day with family and friends. Full of love, peace, and happiness!

Sadly, Alex woke up late Sunday night with a 103-degree fever. So, she stayed home with Mom yesterday and Mom decided to take her in to see the doc. She has had a cough on and off for awhile now, so she thought maybe there was now an infection. Alex had a stick stuck up her nose for an Influenza test, and a stick stuck down her throat for a Strep Test. Both Negative. Poor Baby! While Mom and Alex were at the store picking up more Tylenol, Ms. Sue called Mom to let her know I was ALSO running a fever. My head was hurting and I wasn't feeling well at all. This morning, I woke up with a 104 fever! Luckily, a bath and some Tylenol brought it right back down. So, Alex and I are both home with Daddy today getting some TLC. Think it is just a nasty cold virus...a repeat of exactly what took place at the end of January. Hopefully this is it...until the FALL!
Not a happy camper at Dr. Reich's office yesterday:

Nanny and Adie come visit this weekend, so we are hoping to be feeling much better by then. Hope everyone had a great Easter and has a healthy week ahead.

Late Catch-Up

You know the saying...better late than never! Last week was a great week. Swimming Lessons were CANCELLED because a baby had pooped in the swimming pool earlier that morning. Saved by the poop! This week, Ms. Christina is on vacation...we hopefully we are back at it next Wednesday. We had some decent weather earlier last week, and then it turned to snow again over this past weekend. Come on Spring! We know you can do it!!

Picture taken at school by Ms. Lyssa:

Swimming Lessons cancelled means early daycare pick-up and Fro Yo with Mom!

"Can you take a picture of me on this rock?" We got to do a nice walk and trip to the park...figured we might as well take advantage after dinner!

Alex and I being Alex and I:

On Saturday morning, our buddy Cooper came to hang out with us for a few hours while Ms. Andrea went for a run! He is just a joy to watch...super laid back and quiet. Alex and Cooper had fun entertaining each other all morning long.

I skipped my nap on Saturday afternoon to go to my buddy Luke's Birthday party at his house. Luke is in my class at daycare, and is SUPER shy. So, his Mama decided to have his party at their house so that Luke could be in his own element. We had a blast! Another piƱata, tons of running around and playing with toys...a special Ninja Turtle craft, cake, cupcakes, and presents! Let's just say when the party was nearing the end...I was barely hanging on. I still just don't do well without my afternoon beauty sleep.
Craft time!

Pinata smashing

Shark feeding frenzy!

We took...another walk later that afternoon to feed the ducks. The ducks were either full or not in the mood for bread. Oh well!

We met The Loomis Family for dinner, and I fell asleep Promptly at 8pm. What a busy day!

On Sunday...we had this going on all day:

So the entire family stayed in their PJ's ALL DAY, and we practiced hunting Easter Eggs! It was Alex's turn to hide the eggs...she is slowly getting the hang of it. LOL

And we might have got a little carried away with the orange peels...

Busy, Busy weekend up ahead. TWO Birthday Parties on Saturday (I'm going with Daddy to Alexander's Birthday Party at Little Monkey Bizness, and Mom and Alex are going to Riley's Birthday party at School's Crossing). We might get to visit with Auntie K! AND...on Sunday we have a fun Easter Egg hunt planned with my buddies, and Grandma and Grandpa will be joining us for another Egg Hunt and Easter dinner. Hope everyone has a great Easter Weekend.
