Easter Weekend in Granby
Happy Monday all! Hope everyone had a great weekend and I hope the Easter Bunny was good to you. We had...an AWESOME weekend away in the mountains (the town of Granby to be exact). Granby isn't far from Winterpark, a HUGE ski resort here in Colorado. Mom and Dad picked me up early on Friday afternoon from daycare, and we were then on a mission to Dickey's BBQ in Denver. What would be a trip through Denver if we didn't stop at Dickey's BBQ? So, we had a yummy dinner (although my appetite has been WAY down for a few days now) before we finished the rest of our drive. We had such a smooth trip, I was perfectly content watching all of the beautiful scenery, and we arrived at the townhome we stayed at just shy of it getting dark outside (which was perfect). We were the first to arrive so we were able to give ourselves the grand tour. Let me tell you guys...this townhome was Amazing!! It was go big, and nice, and roomy, clean, and comfortable. I had my own room! We could have easily stayed for a week. Auntie K and Adrian were the next to arrive (about 30 minutes after us), and the Gillings' arrived around 10:30 (long after I was in bed).

After a great night’s sleep, we woke up to this...a fresh coat of snow!
Danny G and I had breakfast together (toast with Nutella and fresh fruit):

The adults all sat around and visited while us kids played with all the new and exciting toys, and then we all eventually got dressed for the day and drove to a nearby town called Grand Lake. In Grand Lake we had lunch at the little brew pub and walked around the town.

After our trip to Grand Lake, Danny G and I both took long naps as we were whipped (Mom and Dad may have even snuck in a little nap during a movie). After naptime, everyone hung out and prepared Easter Dinner (one day early).

We had Honey Baked Ham, green bean casserole, Watergate salad, rolls, and homemade mashed potatoes! YUM (although I didn't eat much, once again). Oh, did I mention that Daniel brought all 3 of his BIG doggies up to Granby also? Duke, Moose, and Doc (and they know how to do some pretty neat tricks):
Daniel's dogs are much bigger than Molly and Moses. I had no problems adjusting to the size difference.
I climbed into the chair, and also managed to get a hold of the baby monitor.

After dinner Daniel and I shared a bath. We "shared" bath toys and managed to be very polite to one another. There were plenty of "tee-tus" (thank you) exchanged between the two of us. Ginger took some video that Mom is going to share once she has it edited and ready to go. On Saturday night after we went to bed, the adults stayed up late watching the movie Tombstone. Turns out the Easter Bunny only visits children who are in bed and asleep, and luckily for Daniel and I...the Easter Bunny still visits all the way up in Granby:
On Easter morning (after sleeping in again until 8:00), Daniel and I played while we waited for everyone to join us before we checked out the goods that the Easter Bunny left.
We received little toy cars, bubbles, chirping chicks, boats, books, balls, stuffed bunnies, and even a little bit of Easter candy (my personal favorite). I found a plastic egg with a dove chocolate inside, and I went directly into hiding. I wasn't about to let ANYONE try and take it away from me, as I knew I found something special. Finally I let Mom help me open the wrapper, and eat what was inside. Did I mention that I LOVE chocolate??

We had a great Easter breakfast, and then we decided to pack up and hit the road. We had such a great time. Thank you Danny G, Mikey G, and Ginger!!!
We also loved spending time with Auntie K and Adrian. Thanks for all the love! We are so fortunate to have such great friends. We had a smooth trip home, although we had to stop and stretch our legs on the south-side of Denver at McDonalds. During the last 30 minutes of our trip, I was "over" sitting in my car seat and wanted out and sort of let that be known to the other passengers in the car. Other than that, we had a perfect weekend getaway. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and has a great week.

Hey All! Hope everyone has had a fantastic week. Mom and I took advantage of the Spring weather and went on 3 long walks this week after dinner. Every single walk ended in the same result:
I just can't resist all the fresh air and rocking of the stroller. Puts me right to sleep!
Yesterday was Picture Day at school, and I had my cute little "Picture Day" shirt on...but it so happens I totally freaked out when it was my turn. I started crying and had a death grip on Ms. Rebecca. Sort of out of character for me...but something spooked me about the whole thing and I was NOT having any of it. That's okay...I think Mom captures a fair share of pictures of me.
We are getting ready for a fun weekend in the mountains with Daniel and his folks, as well as Auntie K and Adrian. Molly and Moses are going to stay with Carissa Junior and Jason. We know they will have a blast playing all weekend with their pal, Penny the Doxen. Can't wait!! Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Weekend Wrap-UP
Happy Monday! We had a pretty good weekend. No agenda really, which was nice for a change. On Friday evening we went to dinner at a new little Mexican restaurant that just opened down the street from our house. It was tasty (although I was more interested in the water fountain near the front door than I was actually sitting down and eating). I'm officially at "that age." The age where...taking me to a restaurant...is getting sort of interesting. I really have no interest in eating as I'm way too distracted by what is going on around me, I want to get down and run around, I can't be bargained with...and I will verbally let everyone in the restaurant know when I'm bored and not happy with being strapped in a chair!
Saturday started off to be a beautiful day, and I LOVE being outdoors...so this worked out great for me as we spent the majority of the morning OUTSIDE.
I did some running around in the yard with Molly and Moses, and helped Dad and Grandpa repair some broken sprinkler heads.
After a loong (3 hour) afternoon nap, my buddy Daniel came over with his mama Ginger. We decided to walk down to the park and meet another old friend of mine from daycare, and his mama. My buddy Jameson and I were in daycare together for a few months last summer. He no longer goes to the same daycare that I do, but it turns out we ran into them last week while on a walk and found out we are close neighbors!!! Way cool. So, Daniel, Jameson and I all ran around the park going up and down the slides and swinging for almost 2 hours!!!
The weather decided to turn on us while we were playing, and the wind really started to pick up...but it didn't phase us at all. I ended up splitting my lower lip while attempting to push one of the strollers around...and I also ate dirt a few times. So, blood + dirt + tons of boogers sure did qualify me as one hot mess:

After plenty of time at the park, we came back to the house and ordered pizza for dinner. I had more time to run around with my buddy Daniel while his folks visited with Mom and Dad, and I was well ready for bed come 8:00 PM. It was a great (and tiring) day.
On Sunday, we woke up and did some things around the house. Mom baked cookies and I helped Dad with some more yard work. I almost didn't make it through lunch again without falling asleep:
These weekends sure to wear me out (eating with my eyes CLOSED)!
We ran to Target and did some Easter shopping, and visited the tail-end of the Home and Garden Show that took place down the street. Mom made Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti for dinner (and I LOVED it). We had cookies for dessert on the patio after dinner. It was a great end to a nice weekend. Hope everyone has a lovely week!

Happenings for the Week
Happy Friday!!! I'm happy that the weekend is almost here. We have had a busy week! On Monday evening , we went for a long walk that put me right to sleep after dinner. OH, and I decided to have a little bonding time with Molly and Moses.

On Tuesday evening, we went to visit Auntie K, Auntie A, and Cortland for Taco Tuesday! I had fun playing outside with Cortland and Roger (Auntie K's Rottweiler). On Wednesday evening, we joined Grandma and Grandpa for dinner at Gunther Toodie's. I wanted little to do with eating and was pretty focused on being outside of the highchair. So, the dinner was spent taking turns with Mom and Dad as we went back and forth to look at the games and candy machines. OH! & the entire family decided to try Nutella for the first time. Turns out it is good stuff. I'm so happy I'm not going to have to wait until I'm in my 30's to give it a whirl (like Mom and Dad did):
"Mmm. This stuff ain't bad!"
Last night, Carissa Junior and Jason came over to eat with us. They are getting ready to move so they needed a place to go in order to escape all the boxes that are taking over their home. Tonight? Well...we don't have any plans yet! Nor do we have any major plans for the weekend. Might do some yard work. Might do some grocery shopping, and we might go and visit my buddy Daniel. Hope everyone had a great week and has a wonderful weekend.

18-Month Stats and Weekend Wrap-Up
Happy Monday! Daycare drop-off went super smooth this morning! Why, well...because one of my classmates decided to scream their head off. You see...there can only be ONE screaming baby, and if somebody else is doing it...I will just go and quietly sit down and observe (-:
On Friday afternoon, I was picked up early from daycare for my 18-month check-up with Dr. Reich. I only had a minor panic attack when they stripped me naked and then put me on the scale. I also recognized Nurse Sue, and wanted NOTHING to do with her. Dr. Reich checked me over, and sure enough...she agreed that I'm one healthy and happy toddler. Here are my current 18-Month Stats:
Weight: 22 pounds (5th percentile)
Height: 31 inches (20th percentile)
Head Circumference: 19 1/4 inches (80th percentile)
Mom was taking advantage of a cute toddler (me) wearing nothing but a diaper:
After my appointment, Mom and I met Auntie Amber and Cortland over at ITz. We ate dinner and then went to PLAY in their GIGANTIC play room. I had a blast running around and looking at all the cool rides and games. I even rode a race-car ride that Mom wasn't sure I would like too much. I thought it was pretty fun (even though my face doesn't show it):
After it would stop moving, I would move back and forth letting Mom and Auntie Amber know that I wanted to GO AGAIN!
On Saturday, we planned to have our family pictures taken. BUT, the darn wind forced us to cancel. So, we ended up just hanging out around the house. Mom left to meet Junior for dinner, while Dad and I had some bonding time. On Sunday, I was up earlier than usual, and it caught up to me come lunch time:
Turns out it is super difficult to eat your lunch if you can't stay awake! After this video was taken, Mom cleaned me up and put me down for a nap. I slept 2.5 hours. I was one tired pup. Dad did some yard work, and I tried on his garden gloves:
Had the weather been cooperating, I would have been able to go outside and help him! Darn wind! We made dinner at home Sunday night, and finished up preparing for the week ahead. Hope everyone has a great start!
