Weekly Update

We just wrapped up a fairly good week. It was HOT. Jeff went to Oregon for work, and was gone for 3 days. The kids had picture day, and we had a fairly laid-back weekend.

I made a delicious dinner one evening.  Salmon.  Mmmmm.

Picture day best! OF COURSE--Alex's hair came out.  Not any other day but picture day.  Oh well, LOL.

We took advantage of Jeff being gone and went to Noodles.  JR needed ketchup for his chicken to tag along--so we just took some with us.  HA!

Taking one for the team with his ketchup packet.

Friday afternoon I picked the kids up early for their dentist appointment.  We were in a new suite in the building I had never even seen before.  Never even knew existed!  Mind Blown.  & a new hygienist that has been around for 30 years!

And this one got her first cavity.  Yeah. NO bueno.

We went to Party City to shop for JR's Birthday.  I'm going to have a nine year old in just a few weeks!

Jeff came home late Friday night, and we didn't do much Saturday except for the normal errands and house stuff.  We did go have a beer on a patio and enjoyed the weather!

We had our friends Kristin and Joe over for pizza and a visit. This old lady was lucky enough to be picked up and put on the bar.

On Sunday afternoon we met the Loomis family for a couple rounds of mini golf.

They don't look too happy, do they? Don't worry--they were acting.  Ha!

Being covered in Jenga blocks is always the fun thing to do in the club house.

This week is going to be busy!  Alex has a cavity to fill on Thursday afternoon.  I'm getting together with my Colorado Surrogate ladies on Friday.  We have a beer festival with our friends in Manitou on Saturday, and the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday.  Phew!

Weekly Update

Well we don't quite qualify for "Indian Summer" yet, because it IS still summer--but holy heck it has been HOT. In the high 80's almost every day. I think I'm ready for things to cool off.

We did get to journey outdoors after dinner a few times last week.  And of course, we did some selfies with Moses.

Beautiful evening weather.

I took a picture of some of my braiding work.  Humble Brag!

Saturday the kids went to a birthday party for Christopher who turned 3!
These two have almost reached the age-limit for Little Monkey Bizness ):  We started going to LMB when JR was just a little guy.  Sigh.

Christopher turned 3!

These two cuties still have a couple years left to enjoy their play time.

Besties!

I'm in the background so Angella must have grabbed this shot!

We went to dinner Saturday night!  I read an article about how gifted children often have taste and smell issues. Well gosh--that would have been helpful to know years back with this one and his issues with food.  One thing is for sure--no problems with cookie crumble sundaes!

And Sunday we had a relaxing day, went on a bike ride, and then came home and cooled off for about 3 minutes in the sprinklers.  Yes, it took longer to put on sunscreen before the kids were over it.

This week Jeff is headed to Oregon!  The kids have a dentist appointment, and that is about it!

Not Much To Report!

Not a whole lot happening the past few days to report. The kids finished off the rest of their short week at school. Saturday we did a bunch of stuff around the house and had the neighbors over who purchased our old house Saturday night.  We did a taco bar and hung around and shot pool and threw darts.  Jeff decided to bust out his turntables!

Molly and Moses being party poopers.

Brooke and Alex.

Sunday morning sunning. I think Moses got a little shorted.

And Sunday evening we ran some errands and had dinner at TR.  It had been a long time since we had been there!

JR and his many animated faces.  LOL.

This week the kids have a FULL week of school.  We don't have much planned for the weekend other than a birthday party.  The calm before the storm is what I like to call it.  Ha!

Weekly Update-LONG Weekend Fun

The kids had a great first FULL week at school, and we had a fun LONG 4-day Labor Day Weekend. JR was placed in the Gifted and Talented program last week at school! He was pretty excited about that, and it sounds like they have a neat program that will be challenging him and keeping him interested.

Molly and Moses had some nice sunny breaks with me while I was at home working.

Beautiful Evening sunset at the park with the kids.  I'm going to miss summer.

On Friday I got to meet Auntie Amber and Baby Sam for lunch!  He is so cute and cuddly and just lovely!

Didn't make a single complaint the entire lunch.

$1.50 scoops on the 31st at Baskin Robbins!

Friday night I went to Monument to the cider house with some new friends!  We had a great time.

You can see Tabitha and Kristin smiling here--nobody else was really paying attention. Ha!

Saturday was Joe's 40th Birthday, so we went to the raceway here in town and the boys did some go-carting. Some very FAST go-carting as those things move 45mph!

JR was tall enough, but decided to opt out and play video games instead.

On Sunday we got tickets to the Sky Sox game with the Andrews!  They came over for a bit before the game, so Cooper decided to ride with us over. We are Sad Sky Sox won't be around much longer.

Posing before the game.  Our friends Jodi and Bryce brought their little girl too!

Alex and Cooper.  Good old buds.

& on Monday, we checked in to a room for the night at Great Wolf Lodge.  I found a killer deal, and the kids didn't have school on Tuesday so we decided to go for it.

They might be a tad spoiled.  HA!

I might be, too.

Cheers!

We love Great Wolf Lodge!  Alex and I had a dance party before bed.

Then we had ice cream from Ben and Jerry's.

Breakfast in bed this morning!

JR made a buddy and they did ALL the water slides together.  He had a blast.

On our way home from Great Wolf Lodge, we stopped for our appointment at Pine Top to get JR's mouth evaluated for orthodontics.  His appointment was scheduled for last week, but they had a cancellation and got us in and it worked out perfect!  They don't want to do anything at this time, but we will go back for annual appointments so they can keep their eye on a few things.  So no work now!  We get to save our money a few more years.  Ha!
Only 3 days of school this week.  We are having our neighbors over this weekend, and not much else planned.
