Fun Day with Family

What? It is already Monday tomorrow? BUMMER. I have had a great weekend and would love to make it last longer. But, all good things must come to an end.
After showing off my first haircut yesterday, we went to eat dinner and came back home afterwards and visited with Nanny and Adie.

We had a great time catching up and telling stories.
This morning we woke up rather early, and hung around eating and doing more visiting with our guests. Mom and Nanny decided to go and meet Auntie Amber at a place down the street, and came back home with beautiful toenails!

Auntie Amber and Nanny. Looks very relaxing:

I hung out with Dad and Adie and gave them a run for their money. After lunch we decided to go to Garden of the Gods. My first tourist attraction in the city I was born! We got out and walked around some, and took advantage of a few picture ops.
On our way to Garden of the Gods:

I discovered that looking out the window can be very interesting:

A cool non-resident of Colorado Springs that we found enjoying the sun. Her name was Dre, and her owner said she was about 10 years old:

Neat scenery:

"Mmmm. This fresh air tastes pretty good!"

I enjoyed getting out of the house and checking out the scenery!

Hanging in the shade and enjoying the nice day:

We worked up an apptetite for ice cream after our trip to Garden of the Gods, so we decided to drive to Old Colorado City to visit the Colorado City Creamery. I got my first taste of ice cream, and I got super mad when Mom only let me have one little taste. She didn't want to share with me, and I was not happy about it.

We all thought this sign was pretty funny:

Such a beautiful day!

Colorado City Creamery. VERY good ice cream. Maybe next year I can enjoy my own scoop!

After our afternoon touring the town, we came home and all took naps. I was REALLY tired and REALLY cranky. I get moody if I don't get my beauty. Grandma and Grandpa came over for pizza, and I ate sweet potatoes. A perfect end to a great weekend.
Enjoying pizza with the fam:

"Oh. Grandpa. You have some pizza crumbs in your mustache. Let me help you with that."

"Hold still. I'm almost done."

Mom and Dad are back to the grind tomorrow, and counting down the days to vacation in Arizona. We can't wait! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

First Haircut!

So...not long after Mom's last post...my folks decided that TODAY was the day for my First Haircut! Story goes like this: Dad was scheduled for a trim, and Mom thought she would be smooth and tag along and have the lady that was cutting Dad's hair also trim mine. Well. The plan worked! She was happy to trim my hair, and guess what? Mom didn't even cry. I started to get a little cranky about half-way through, but for the most part...I did great! Mom also got a few of my locks in an envelope that she will keep FOREVER, and plenty of Before and After shots. Enjoy!
Ummmm. I would like to go...NOW. Get me outta here!

You are going to do what to my hair??

Both Dad and I look completely unsure of the situation.

Strap that towel on and let us begin!

So far, so good!

Are you sure you know what you are doing with those things?

Here we go! Snip Snip!

Hmmmm....

This is starting to get very NOT COOL.

HALP!!!

Are we done yet?

We are done? SWEET.

Side view:

Okay. I see the door. Let's go!

Just like lookin in the mirror!

See you next time!

Who knows when the next cut will be, but I'm ready for the hot weather in Arizona. I will be a lot cooler with a lot less hair!

Waiting for our Visitors!

Hello, All!
We have a BEAUTIFUL day going here in Colorado. 79 Degrees and bright blue skies. A little windy for my liking, but still very enjoyable.

Last night Mom and Dad went with Grandma and Grandpa to a wedding, and I got to hang with Ms. Kim. We had a great time! Mom and Dad did also. I had my last swimming lesson in the giant bathtub this morning. Technically, the last lesson is next Saturday, but we are going to miss it. Here are some pictures Dad captured of me at my swim lesson LAST weekend, and Mom forgot to post them:

Daniel and his Mama:

I was almost too tired to really enjoy my swim lesson today. Turns out I fell asleep as we were pulling into the YMCA parking lot, and even though I'm known for my short naps...a 10 minute nap just did NOT cut it today. So, I was a cranky little guppy in the water.

I have been sleeping really well at night! That will all change next week when we go on our vacation. A few nights ago, Mom got up to check on me and I was sleeping on my belly. She assumed it wouldn't be long before I would be hollering to be flipped back over on my side. A few hours went by, and Mom awoke again to check on me. And ya'll...I WAS ON MY BACK. I turned myself back over all by myself! Woo Hoo!

I have enjoyed my frozen banana snack, and know we are currently waiting for Nanny and Adie to arrive from Dallas (by car). Not sure what are plans are, but maybe a trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is in order for tomorrow (if the weather stays this nice). That's all for now! I hope everyone has a great weekend. Mom will be sure to post pictures of my visit with Nanny and Adie.
