Happenings

Happy Thursday! This week is just a zoomin on by! Let's see... Mom and Dad received a garage door opener via UPS, and I received a new toy (once the opener was removed):

My very own box (and yes, I tried to eat one of the foam peanuts...and decided it didn't taste so great...so that was the end of that):

Sort of like a ball-pit, only not!

Being silly:

On Tuesday evening I had my 39th haircut! Okay...so I haven't had THAT many, but I have had quite a few. By now, we have the process down. 1. Sit me in the chair. 2. Hand me a cherry sucker. 3. Start cutting away!

"I'm not sure what she is doing back there...but this cherry sucker sure is tasty."

"Oh, lookie there. A spider on the wall. Hmmm...this cherry sucker sure is tasty."

"Hmmm...I'm a pretty handsome fella. This cherry sucker sure is tasty."

Last night we did dinner with Grandma and Grandpa at Gunther Toody's! It had been awhile since we had been down for $.05 Burger Night. Mom and Dad are taking tomorrow off of work because Nanny and Adie are driving in from Dallas! I can't wait to see them. They haven't been out since last September, and haven't seen me since Thanksgiving (when I was not yet a full-time walker). Boy are they in for a treat! The weather should be pretty nice for their visit, and I'm sure we will find some sort of trouble to get into. Hope everyone has a good close to their week, and a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Monday! Hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. We had a good one! We started off our Friday evening by jamming out to some Bob Marley and winding down our week, and then went out for PIZZA! On Saturday, we hung around the house and did a few weekend chores, and then Grandma came over. Mom and Dad left to go see Dave Ramsey at the World Arena, so I hung out with Grandma who was later joined by Grandpa. We had a fun afternoon playing with toys, and going outside. Once they returned back home, we all had dinner together and I was off to bed. On Sunday, we got up early and threw some stuff in the Crock Pot. Mom had to go to work for a few hours, so Dad and I did some running around and hanging out. After Mom returned home from work, we went to a new frozen yogurt store that just opened right up the street called Yo Yogurt. It was REALLY tasty. Dad had vanilla and chocolate ice cream topped with fresh strawberries. Mom had mint chocolate and peanut butter ice cream with snickers on top. Guess which one I enjoyed sharing from the most?

"Mmmmmm....NOT BAD."

After we enjoyed the Crock-Pot goodness, Mom and I went for a walk with Molly.

OH, and Mom captured some video of me tormenting Molly with my sock:

Teasing the family pet is funny stuff! Well, hope everyone has a great week. I'm due for my 6th haircut tomorrow evening.

Friday!!!

Phew, Ya'll. We made it this far! Now it is time for the weekend!

Mom just wanted to share a cute video she captured during dinner last night (seems to be the place where all the action happens). Oh, and in case you were wondering...I do fit perfectly in the Wright Family. No doubt about it. I just so happen to LOVE dark chocolate chips and BBQ sauce (don't ask how we discovered this). In this video, I have a dab of BBQ sauce that I keep dipping my thumb in. Mmmmm. Good stuff. Mom was also trying to get me to say the word "More" but no dice. Guess there has to be chocolate involved if you want me to say the word. Enjoy!:

Ear Infection Update

Hello, folks! We meant to update you earlier in the week...but I guess we have been busy. I did go and see Dr. Reich on Monday afternoon and she did confirm that I have another ear infection. She doesn't want to talk about putting tubes in my ears yet. She is hopeful that the warmer weather will help slow down cold season. Let's hope she is correct. Here we are waiting in the exam room. Good stuff:

I have been feeling pretty darn good though and acting my "normal" self for the most part.

Last night my buddy Daniel and his folks came over for dinner. Turkey burgers, sweet potato fries, and fresh fruit! Yummy.

We are excited that the weekend is almost here. I will be hanging with Grandma and Grandpa on Saturday while Mom and Dad go and see Dave Ramsey. I *think* Mom is going to be working on Sunday, so Dad and I will be having some guy time. Hope everyone is having a great week.

Weekend Update

Hello, Everyone! Well...we had a great end to our week...and a fairly good weekend (minus the Sunday afternoon visit to the Urgent Care...and I will get to that in just a little bit).
Did I tell you I went to watch my FIRST inline hockey game last Thursday evening? Not my first hockey game...as I witnessed a bunch of ICE hockey last May down in Arizona. Let's not get ice hockey confused with inline hockey, okay?
Enjoying the game and munching on a cookie. Ahh...the good life!

"Whoa! Pretty neat!"

Auntie Amber was playing, and we had a fun time watching her team win. I also had a blast exploring the hockey arena. I found the Pro-Shop where they sell all sorts of hockey equipment, and once I discovered the hockey sticks...I INSISTED on carrying one around with me. I will have to work hard at convincing Mom that I should be a hockey player. Hockey is a very high-maintenance (and expensive) sport!
Friday evening we met Grandma and Grandpa for their weekly dinner at Panera:

On Saturday, I woke up and had my cereal and hung out with Mom while Dad slept in a bit. Who needs a spoon to eat cereal when you have perfectly good fingers??

Yummm. Cheerios!

We hung around Saturday afternoon and took it easy. After I woke up from my afternoon nap, Dad noticed I was running a bit of a fever and was tugging at my left ear. No bueno!! So, I received some Tylenol and we went on with our day. Grandpa came over to help Dad and I with some things around the house. Mom left with Auntie Karissa in the early afternoon to drive up to Denver. They celebrated Auntie Amber's Birthday at a really neat place where you paint pictures and drink adult beverages. She said they had a great time!

Jen and Karissa:

The Birthday Girl:

I woke up around 3:00 AM Sunday morning burning up and very uncomfortable. After some more Tylenol I was able to fall back asleep and get some rest. We went to the grocery store and ran a few errands later in the morning, and grabbed breakfast at Einstein Bagels (yum).
Going for a car ride at the grocery store:

Soon after we returned home...I started acting pretty fussy and clingy, so after my nap...Mom and Dad decided to go ahead and take me in to the neighborhood Urgent Care. We waited about 2.5 hours before a physician’s assistant was able to look into my ears and check me out.
Taking a nap in Dad's arms in the exam room:

It was confirmed that it looks like I have another ear infection in my left ear (the ear I had been tugging at). So, I'm on ANOTHER round of antibiotics (we just ended our last round just 2 weeks ago). However, this morning I woke up LONG after my last dose of Tylenol had worn off...and was NOT running a fever and was happy as a clam. *Usually* when I have an ear infection...it tends to get much worse before it gets better as it typically takes 2-3 days for the antibiotics to take full effect. SO, Mom made another appointment for me to visit with Dr. Reich this afternoon...to confirm without a doubt that I do indeed have an ear infection. I wouldn't want to be on antibiotics for the next 10 days if it just isn't necessary. If it is indeed confirmed...Mom is going to talk to the doc about visiting a Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. So, we shall see. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and has a great start to their week.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day, to ya (said in my best Irish Accent). Have no fear everyone...I'm wearing my green so I won't get pinched!
(I'm also holding my green car):

Posing for the camera (Mom told me to smile...so I pursed my lips):

"Wait. What am I suppose to be doing here?"

We are all wearing our green! In this picture I was trying to decide if I wanted to cry because Mom wouldn't let me go outside with Molly and Moses:

Oh! & Mom made GREEN cupcakes with GREEN frosting with GREEN sprinkles for my class. Don't worry...she went easy on the icing! Couldn't be any worse than pudding for a snack, right?

Hope you have a great St. Patty's day...and may your home always be too small to hold all your friends.

Good Monday To You!

Howdy, Ya'll! I have plenty of pictures and video to share from our great weekend. Looks like I only had one Blog update last Monday, but I had a great week as well. Some highlights included having the Gumps over for dinner on Wednesday evening, and discovering that I have molars coming through on both the upper right and upper left sides of my mouth. Phew! After daycare on Friday afternoon, Mom and Dad packed me up in the BOB and we went for a walk around the neighborhood. I had only napped 40 minutes at daycare, so the fresh air was all I needed and I was OUT:

After waking from my nap, we drove over to Panera and met Grandma and Grandpa for dinner. Mom took a couple bites of her apple, and let me nibble off of it and suck out the apple juice:

Pretty Tasty!

On Saturday we woke up and did our "normal" Saturday morning routine...which includes coffee for Mom, and a little iPad browsing for Dad as they watch me eat my breakfast and run around playing with my toys and teasing Molly and Moses.
Oh, and Cheerios! Lot's of Cheerios!

Making faces for Mom's camera:

After breakfast, we decided to get ready, and head downtown for a "test play group" where I got to play with all sorts of cool toys. My favorite set of toys were wooden fruits and vegetables that I could cut open with a wooden knife. Maybe I have a future as a personal chef? After the playgroup, we walked on down to the St. Patty's Day Parade. It was super cool, and I loved looking at all the neat things that went by. Let's see...dancing gorillas, bagpipers, fire trucks, all sorts of fast cars, basset hounds, and the list goes on. & it was such a perfect day for a parade!

Mom captured some video at the very start of the parade. She LOVES the bagpipe, and in her 2nd life...she swears she will be a bagpipe player.

I also loved watching the BIG fire truck go by. Way Cool! OH, and we received enough free Wendy's Frosty coupons and free Chick-Fil-A coupons at the parade that we are set for at least 10 years.
On Saturday afternoon we went to Lowe's to get some yard equipment. Rakes and shovels and a sprinkler to water the lawn. We are preparing for a Spring and Summer spent outside as we have a lot of work to do. Dad even bought me my own rake and shovel so that I can be put to work. We just hung around the house Saturday night, and took it easy.

Sunday was a VERY busy day! We woke up and met our friends Talitha, Kevin, and baby Ellie for breakfast. Baby Ellie is almost 6 months now and is all smiles. After breakfast they came over to get the tour of the new house. After our friends left, we took Molly and Moses to get their nails trimmed. They were over-due! Oh, and I did the cutest thing you guys: Mom and Dad were talking to a lady for quite some time about dog food. Once the conversation came to an end, Dad stuck out his hand and introduced himself to the nice lady who had spent so much time explaining everything and thanked her. You know what I did? I walked over to her and stuck out my hand so that she could shake hands with me also! Everyone was totally blown away by mature social skills. I may end up a social butterfly like Mom after all!! We ran quite a few errands on Sunday and knocked quite a few things off our To-Do list. I had lunch when we returned home...one of my favorite sandwiches...a PBJ. Yesterday...I wasn't that interested in the bread. I just wanted the GOOD stuff! Mom captured video of me digging out the peanut butter and jelly:

Too funny, eh?
We had a great end to our weekend...nice and relaxing after all the work was done. Today we were all a little sleepy due to Daylight Savings as we lost an hour Saturday night, but didn't really feel it until this morning. BUT, we are all looking forward to the extra daylight in the evenings as it means Spring is right around the corner...and we can start enjoying dinner on the patio and more evening walks around the new neighborhood. Woo Hoo! Hope everyone has a great week. St. Patty's Day is Thursday...guess I better find something GREEN to wear so I don't get pinched. Oh, and Auntie Amber turns 30 on Wednesday!!

Weekend Update

Burrrr. We are expecting some snow this afternoon and this evening! Snow day tomorrow, possibly?? We can only hope!

This past weekend was a good one! We just hung around the house on Friday evening. Mom was recovering from a migraine headache, so we just took it easy and relaxed a bit. On Saturday, Mom and I were up early and let Dad sleep in for a bit. After Dad was woken up by a couple of stinky Pugs, Mom left to go and meet her good friend Junior for breakfast and coffee. Later in the afternoon, our photographer came over and we went to the park down the street. I felt like I had a paparazzi following me as both Mom and Shannon were photographing my every move. Mom picked up some very helpful hints in regards to her operating her camera, and hopes to demo them soon! On Saturday night, I hung out with Grandma while Mom and Dad joined some friends at Rock Bottom to celebrate Jen's Birthday! Happy Birthday, Jen!!

On Sunday, we all woke up early and started on dinner! That's right! Dinner. Well, dinner cooked in the Crock Pot all day...and it needed 10 hours to cook...so we had to get started bright and early. Mom decided to make Chicken Taco Chili. Let me tell you...our house smelled amazing all day long! For dessert, she decided to make a Banana Cream Pie (all from a "healthy" recipe website since Mom and Dad are back on the Weight Watchers train). I totally helped Mom lick the spoon, and it was GOOD! Later in the afternoon...we decided to get out of the house for a bit and journey on down to the mall.
Chillin watching Dad look at shoes:

The abuse my Daddy takes!!!

People watching from up high:

Mom decided that she needed to finally have her wrist watch battery replaced, as she had been wearing her watch with a dead batter for over 3 months!! After the mall, we did some grocery shopping for fresh fruit and veggies. YUM.
THEN...
We came home to this!

It sure was tasty.
The Banana Cream Pie turned out excellent as well:

I of course decided to just eat applesauce (again), as I'm on a HUGE applesauce kick. Mom and Dad offer me all sorts of food...and I choose...APPLESAUCE. Mom captured some video of me enjoying the last bits of my dinner. I tend to be a very vocal eater, as I "hum" showing my pleasure in whatever it is that I'm eating. I also tend to stuff WAY more in my mouth than I can possibly chew and swallow. It usually ends up getting spit out once it is nice and mushy and unrecognizable (as it did in this case...just off-camera). Dad even tried to tell me to "savor it." HA! Mom and Dad find me quite the dinner entertainment:

Hope everyone has a great week!
