Happy 37th Birthday, Dad!

Today is a special day...it is my Dad's 37th Birthday!! He has had to work today, BUT...Mom went up and met him for lunch at Ted's Montana Grill (he LOVES LOVES LOVES their Buffalo Bison Burgers).

Mom made Dad a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. She thinks it turned out A-OKAY, but we won't be trying it until later on this evening after dinner. We are going to meet Grandma and Grandpa for dinner at Gunther Toody's. Now...you may think eating TWO burgers in ONE day may be a bit much, but it's really a dream come true for Dad...and since it IS HIS Birthday...why not?

We have all been doing good! Alex still picks and chooses certain nights to be restless, and certain days to NOT nap...so it makes things interesting for Mom. But, that is what newborns do! Mom has been enjoying her snuggles with Alex:

Bath time for Alex!

Look at those cheeks!

Auntie K came over and visited on Sunday afternoon. Alex slept on her for 3 hours!!!

Ms. Ami, Spenser, Cami, and Dayna all came over Monday afternoon. (Ms. Ami was not crazy about be photographed):

Alex has been smiling more and more lately! Mom managed to capture one on camera!

Oh, and Ms. Susie made Alex a really pretty quilt with all sorts of bright colors (much like Alex's nursery). Ms. Susie made me one also...and Mom took pictures of me on my quilt (just go back to the archives of the Blog..maybe around November or December of 2009).

Here is a cute little picture Dad captured of me when we were at Target over the weekend. Gosh I'm handsome...don't you agree?

Well...Alex is stirring so time to sign out! Hope everyone is doing well!

Alex's Newborn Pictures!

Just enjoy all the cuteness and sweetness that is my baby sister at 10 days old (as promised):

Isn't she ADORABLE?

Mumsie and Granddaddy Visit and my 3rd Valentine's Day (Alex's 1st)!

Hey, All! Hope everyone has been having a wonderful week, and hope you had a great Valentine's Day! Mumsie and Granddaddy left on Monday morning (after their flight out was cancelled Sunday night), and we were sad to see them go. We had a great visit with them. I was just asking about them yesterday...so it is obvious that I miss them! We didn't really do too much...just hung around the house and ate some good food.
Mumsie holding Alex:

We did go out to dinner on Sunday night to celebrate Dad's Birthday while they were here. They embarrassed Dad by making him sit on the horse saddle and had the entire restaurant sing Happy Birthday to him. He was a good sport about it, and I think Mom was more humiliated than he was!!
Dad and I enjoying our food:

Mumsie and Granddaddy!

Dad on the horse saddle:

After my bath on Sunday evening...clean and snuggled between Mumsie and Granddaddy!

On Tuesday evening after dinner...Mom and Dad were cleaning up the kitchen. Alex was starting to get a bit fussy, so I found her pacifier and walked it over to her and gently put it in her mouth. Mom was so taken back that she decided to start taking pictures. I'm such an AWESOME Big Brother!

Wouldn't you believe it that I held her pacifier there long enough for her to fall asleep! Pretty amazing.
The end product (a sleeping baby):

On Tuesday evening Mom and I also addressed my Valentine's Day cards to all of my classmates. I chose Batman Valentine Cards (over Toy Story...which was a bit of a surprise).

Singing my name:

After all my signatures were complete, we had leftover ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. YUM! I deserved it after all my hard work.

We had a great Valentine's Day. Mom woke up to these lovely flowers greeting her on the kitchen table.

Mom bought Dad some Dublin Dr. Pepper juice glasses that he had his eye on. He loves them! Dad also got Mom a Starbucks gift card....good thing as her balance was starting to run low! I was surprised to see Alex and Mom join us for my Valentine's Day party at daycare!!! I'm so happy they were able to come. We handed out cards to all of my classmates, decorated sugar cookies, and drank cherry 7Up! It was a fun party!

Decorating my cookie with PLENTY of frosting!

Gavin enjoying his icing (he was eating it with a spoon). Ha!

Here I am begging Ms. Nikki for more soda!!

After the party we came home and went to dinner with Dad at Paninos! Mom and Dad have been going to Paninos for Valentine's Day since 2005. I have joined them the last 3 years (including last night), and this was Alex's first time participating in the tradition. She actually woke up before we even received our food, so Mom ended up eating one-handed while holding her in the other hand. We had a wonderful evening! Tomorrow I have a haircut scheduled, and not much planned for the rest of the week. Until next time...take care!
