New Years Day--we sought out a big ass pancake. And found it at The Omelette Parlor! & JR fell backwards out of the booth! It was an interesting way to kick off the first few hours of 2020.
We met with The Loomis family a few more times for swimming and ice cream at Villa.
Although his room is not finished yet, I did snap a few pictures of the new loft bed that was set up on Christmas Eve. He loves it!
Still need some wall art to make those walls a little less boring. We love the little futon for reading at night.

Before school started on the 8th, the kids and I had some fun after Jeff returned back to the office. It included some shoe shopping!
And I started on my half-sleeve with Mandie. For probably about 20 years now, I wanted to tattoo my arms. I have always been so self-conscious of them--I wanted to do something that would make me love them and be proud to show them off. So we got started with our first of 4 or 5 sessions and I absolutely love it! Beautiful butterflies and Lilies. Can't wait to see the final piece.

New hair do for Alex and I had to take a picture of my work.
And for Alex's 8th Birthday party...it was supposed to be at Hurts Donuts down the street. I had been talking to a young girl over the past month who gave me the sense she wasn't 100% sure how the birthday parties worked. So, the morning of the scheduled party I decided to call over to the store to firm up some details. I got a manger on the phone who basically told me that they were not going to be equipped to handle that many people, that we couldn't bring in any pizza, and that what I thought was included in the price was not. So, Jeff and I decided about 6 hours before the party that we would have it at the house instead. And? Despite some short-term stress it turned out GREAT! Everyone had a fun time, and this was actually what Alex had originally requested: A Movie Pajama party int he basement. It is like it was meant to be! And we still got to have donuts.

On Sunday, I met up with some friends for a Macrame class. All these crafty classes at all the breweries around town have really become a hit!
