Weekly Update

Another busy week, but no complaints.  Only 2 more weeks and school is back in session.  We just keep zooming right by.
Morning cuddles with Alex and Moses at my feet.

I run, the kids bike to another park in the neighborhood.

Play date at Focus on the Family with Gavin and Gwyn, and Ice Cream!

Jeff left for Texas on Tuesday morning to go to his Uncle Paul's Funeral.  He passed away last Saturday night, and because it was going to be such a fast turnaround with the kids, we decided just Jeff would go.   Paul would always meet us for breakfast or come see us wherever we were when we would go down and visit.  He was a very kind and gentle soul, and will be missed dearly.

While Jeff was headed down to Texas, we were celebrating Molly turning 12 years old on the 24th.  We had a little party for her, and picked up some special Birthday treats and sang Happy Birthday.  I found these pictures of Molly when she was about 6 months old, before she came to her forever family.  Wasn't she just the CUTEST??

The hats were not cooperating.

All was fine until she pooped--so we had to take a small break to deal with that.  Hey--it isn't a party until somebody poops.  Ha.

Alex and JR singing and giving them their party treats.

Molly  is still getting around--slowly but surely.  We love her so much.
Also on Tuesday evening was Mark Rudolph's annual Sky Sox tailgate party and Sky Sox game.  I believe this was the 10th time that JR and I have attended.  Since Jeff couldn't go, we brought Brooke with us from across the street.
No burger needed--check out that spread!

Mmmmmm

Brooke had a great time.  So did JR!

Brooke let me take a picture for your mom!  Oh geesh...

Whole Foods Chantilly Cake! Just amazing.

Cathy and Connor joined us--we thought it was going to pour down rain, but we got lucky and it only sprinkled a little bit during the actual game.

Brooke is such a cutie--and she is SO sweet and polite.  We love having her around.

Selfie time.

Sprinkling!

Aren't we cute?

Cuties.

We went to YoYogurt after the game, because...SUMMER.

And played with hula hoops outside until we shut the place down at 10:00!

Wednesday was JR's appointment with Dr. Chambers.  He has grown 2 inches since October!

After his appointment, we went to the mall for some glow golf...

PUPPIES...

Look at that face!

And Chick Fil A.
Kids were zonked out from the late night the night before.

Pooped

Thursday I had to go to the office, so Ms. Rose took them to the Library and Trampoline World.

Thursday night was the community movie night at RMCA.

Friday was Alex's soccer practice, and then we went to lunch at Red Robin afterwards and found this guy.  Mountain High Mud Pie!

Moses sure has been enjoying us being around.

Moses says "LIFE IS GOOD!"

Friday night around 6:30 Jeff made it back!  He didn't waste any time getting comfortable.  Good to be home.

Saturday night was the annual Board of Directors dinner downtown at McKenzies Chophouse.  Mom and Dad watched the kids and hung out with them, and we got to enjoy some amazing food and drinks.  It was good to visit and eat, drink, and be merry with our school peeps.

Sunday we were up at out the door for the PPA clean up of the Sand Creek Trail.

The cops came!  They know how to party.  LOL

We got TONS of stuff what was washed down the creek this past week with all the rain we have been getting.

The kids did a great job with very little complaining.

Check out all that trash loaded on, and a shopping cart we dug out!

A kitty visited Alex to tell her she was doing a great job cleaning up the earth.

A snake!

After the clean up we took the afternoon pretty easy, and then went to dinner at Panino's. This one might love pasta more than I do!

Good thing Jeff and JR don't care about it, or I'm pretty sure we would be in trouble.

This week includes finalizing our will with the lawyer, and the kids and I head to Arizona on Wednesday night to visit the Knowles Family.  It is going to be hot--be we are excited for the journey.
