Fall Fest, Trunk Or Treat & A Football/Going Away Party

Phew! We have had a very busy week, and weekend! Quite a few gatherings and seasonal celebrations over this past week.

We had a "Fall Festival" as daycare last Wednesday. Tons of food and games and prizes! Alex and I had a great time, and Mom failed to capture any photos worth posting.

Mom enjoyed Friday night...a chance to do dinner and hang out with some of her girlfriends! Alex and I hung out with Daddy.

Saturday morning...Molly and Moses watching Alex and I tackle each other on the ground. They seem...unimpressed...don't they?

After naps on Saturday, we went to the public charter school up the street for some "Trunk or Treating." I really didn't seem THAT into it...this year. Last year...it was SUPER cold when we went, and I had fun going from trunk to trunk gathering candy. This year...meh. So, we took some pictures outside and journeyed into the gym to see what games and activities were going on in there.

We do make some pretty good pirates. Alex REFUSES to wear her pirate hat. Oh well!

We have a couple more opportunities this week to where our costumes. Wednesday is "Trick Or Treating in the Halls" at Mom and Dad's work. That should be fun! Thursday is the costume parade at daycare, and afterwards we are going to go to a Halloween party and do some Trick-Or-Treating in our neighborhood if we have time.

I had much more fun playing on the playground outside (and the weather was puuurrrfect). Ms. Robin and Emma met us for some outdoor playground fun. Alex had a great time also, and would come visit mom every few minutes and ask for candy from her trick-or-treat bag.

Grandma and Grandpa came over Saturday evening so that Mom and Dad could go have dinner! They went to B'z BBQ and enjoyed the quiet time together.

After naptime on Sunday, we went over to my buddy Jameson's house. They had a Broncos football party/going away party for The Pitzen's. My buddy, James...is moving to Oregon at the end of this week. We have been together since we were just little babies at daycare. We are really going to miss James and his neat little family. Sniff.
The Loomis Family (Larissa, Shawn, Gavin and Gwyn) The Wilson's (Angella, Dwane, and Jameson--who hosted the party), The Wright Family (us), The Pitzen's (Tammi, John and James--who are moving), another family we had never met before, and the Holiday Family (Cathy, Brian and their little boy Conner) are all pictured below.

The adults had a wonderful time eating, chatting, and enjoying seasonal beverages. The kids had a blast DESTROYING The Wilson's home by dragging out every.single.toy that Jameson owned. There were toys...EVERYWHERE.

It was a very nice party, and we are glad we got to hang out with The Pitzen Family one more time before they leave.

This week...we have a lot of Halloween stuff going on! Should be a good time. Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Boo at The Zoo!

Halloween is getting close...the cooler weather is HERE, the leaves are beautiful...and we are loving this time of year!

I had to bring a mini-pumpkin to school so that we could decorate and paint them. "Mom! Take a picture with me and my pumpkin!"


Ooooh and it got COLD last week. Alex got to sport her new winter jacket that was purchased for her, by her Great Aunt Linda before she was even born! She loves it!

My buddy Riley, and his little sister came over to visit Saturday morning. We had a good time playing with toys and eating snacks. Mom and Dad enjoyed visiting with Ms. Catie and her Mom. We are glad that they decided to hang out with us! Saturday ended up being such a wonderful Fall day, that we decided to attempt Boo at the Zoo Saturday evening. We met my buddies James, Jameson, Alexa and Conner for zoo animals and early Trick-Or-Treating:

Alex was pretty sure that "Trick-Or-Treating" meant holding on to a bucket, look super cute, and eat all the candy that people put in said bucket.

I was not really into not listening this particular evening...so every time somebody told me to "get in the picture" I would do the exact opposite. Every time Mom told me to "stay near Mom and Dad" I would decide to go and venture off. I was in great spirits! Just not in the mood to follow directions. These dancers danced to MJ's "Thriller" and they did an awesome job. I was unimpressed, but Mom and Dad thought it was really cool!

As the sun went down behind the mountain...it started to get REALLY chilly. So, we said goodbye to our friends and picked up dinner on our way home. It was a great evening and we are super glad we made the last-minute decision to go!

Sunday morning was spent around the house. Mom running around like a crazy person (per usual), Dad helping entertain Alex and I, and Molly and Moses doing what they do best (relaxing--and barking at the TV).


After naps, we decided it was snack time! French Fries and Frosty's? Why not? We can eat carrot sticks for a snack the other 6 days in the week!





We stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's house after our Wendy's snack. We hung out for a few hours and had a good visit! Grandma fed us more snacks, and Dad got to watch a little bit of football on their new Lazy Boy couch!

We ended up having a nice Sunday evening at home, to wrap up our good weekend. Everyone was healthy and happy...and we are grateful for that!

Today...my class went to The Wishing Stat Pumpkin Patch. On Saturday, we are doing some Trunk-Or-Treating at a neighborhood school, and on Sunday we are doing a football party at Jameson's house. Lots of fall and Halloween activities to look forward to. Hope everyone has a great week.

4-Year Check-UP & Gavin's Turns 4!

Hope everyone had a good end to their week. We got some pictures outside next to our bush that turns BRIGHT red in the fall. So very pretty.

Alex and I watched The Polar Express while Dad went out for some "dude time" on Saturday (never too early for The Polar Express!). Texas and OK were playing football against each other...so he couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch the game with Gavin's Dad.

Auntie K and Trent came over for pizza Saturday afternoon, and we stayed up late visiting and catching up. On Sunday, Gavin turned FOUR! He had his Birthday party at Little Monkey Bizness. Alex and I had a blast running around with our friends.

I made sure to stay RIGHT by Gavin's side during the entire present opening process. Needed to make sure I was there for him in case he needed any "extra help."


Gwyn was the only one that stayed put and quietly enjoyed her HUGE slice of Birthday cake (-:

On Monday, my daycare was closed for a teacher training day. So, Mom decided to schedule my 4-year check-up Monday morning. Oh, buddy. I was SUPER excited to go and see Dr. Reich. Apparently, I have had NO memory of anything unpleasant happening in her office. I was all smiles and giggles and participated EXTREMELY well in everything Nurse Sue and Dr. Reich wanted me to do. I passed an eye test with flying colors...a test that only about 50% of 4-year olds are mature enough to complete. I also did a couple tests with Dr. Reich, and she told Mom that she was VERY impressed as "quite a few 5-year olds have a hard time following the directions." I got my blood pressure taken this year (that was new).

I also built a castle waiting for Dr. Reich to come see me.

(and while Dr. Reich was writing my current dosages for Tylenol and Motrin, I decided I would practice my letters on the same sheet of paper). Hey! When you see an opportunity you must take it!

A few minutes before the end of my appointment...Daddy showed up with Alex. Alex was due for her flu shot. I was due for my MMR shot. Mommy tried to prep me a little bit about what was coming...that I was going to get a shot...that it was going to sting a little bit...and that it would be done and over super fast...and I would get a special treat. Well...I don't think I REALLY understand what was about to go down. So, Nurse Sue plopped me up on the counter, pulled up my sleeve...and wasted NO time sticking that sucker straight into my arm. Ummm. Let's just say...I TOTALLY FREAKED OUT AND DECIDED THAT WAS SOOOOO NOT COOL!!! I immediately tried to grab the shot from Nurse Sue and pull it from her hand! Mom was NOT prepared for my reaction either. I was pretty upset. Alex was already crying as she knew what was coming her way. So, both of us were crying and upset upon our departure. I said to Mommy on our way out, "I NEVER WANT TO COME BACK HERE AGAIN." Too bad I'm due for 3 more shots before Kindergarten in two years! Ahhhh!!!! We went out to lunch after my appointment, and home for naps after lunch. I have mentioned the trumatizing experience that went down yesterday about 92 within 24-hours. Mom was hoping that I might forget about it between now and my 5-year check-up? HAHAHAHAHAH. FAT CHANCE.
