TGIS (Thank Goodnes It's SATURDAY)

Happy Saturday!

Ahhhh. So nice to be home.

Last night we tried to go to Panera with Grandma and Grandpa, BUT...the line was out the door and there was no place to sit! It was CRAZY. At least I looked super cute in my new outfit that Great Aunt Carol bought for me:

All dressed up for Dinner!

We ended up going to Perkins for dinner (we figured there would not be a wait and we were correct). I was actually AWAKE. In. The. Evening. After. Daycare. WEIRD.
A RARE Appearance:

I slept O.K. last night. I did wake up at 2:30 AM to eat, and then again at 5:00 AM. But, I feel back asleep until 7:30 and that was fine with Mom and Dad. Mom caught some cute pictures of Dad and I hanging out this morning. Daddy was cracking me up!:

Mom left us late this morning to go get her hair chopped off! Okay...so, it really isn't drastically short...but it is indeed much shorter than it was when she walked out of the house. I'm sort of sad because now I can't grab fist fulls of it while I'm eating. Sigh. We ran some errands this afternoon which included getting my high chair out of storage and opening up a savings account with my name on it! That's right, ya'll...I'm bankin' and I'm not even 4 months old yet!

Tonight our good friends Amy and Rusty are coming over. Let's see how long I can last before I'm ready to eat and go to bed! Mom is also wondering how long SHE will last.

My First Road Trip

Hey, Everyone.

Phew! It has been a busy week. As Mom mentioned yesterday, my Great Grandmother passed away last Thursday. She was 84 years old, and had been sick for a little while now. Mom and Dad decided that we would drive to Dallas so that we could all attend the funeral that was held on Saturday. So, we loaded up the Honda Pilot with all my stuff (the Boppy, my swing, my bathtub, my diapers, my Pack N Play, my wipes, my shampoo, my toys, my bottles, my blankets and on and on and on) and left Thursday evening with a goal to make it half-way to Dallas. Well...we made it half-way...but we didn't arrive at our hotel until 2:30 AM!!! And guess what? Since I had been sleeping since the moment we backed out of the driveway (7:00 PM)...I was ready to party at 4:30 AM!!! So, Mom and Dad got very little sleep and knew they had a very long day of driving ahead of them. Thank goodness for Red Bull! Aside from our rough start, we had a pretty good trip. I did really well in the car (although I really didn't sleep as much as Mom thought I would). Mom sat in the back with me THE ENTIRE TRIP, and Dad got to control the radio all by himself.
Here are some pictures from our long trip in the car:

Ahhh. A nice break to get OUT of my car seat!

Ready to be entertained!

Here are some pics taken from my first hotel stay in Dumas, Texas:

So happy Mom and Dad decided to bring my portable swing!

The funeral service for Nana was very nice. It was a celebration of her wonderful life. After the service...we all went over to Aunt Carol's house, and I got to meet a large portion of my family. We also got to hang out with Devin the entire weekend. Aunt Carol went on a shopping spree and bought me all sorts of neat clothes. I can't wait to model them for ya'll!

On Sunday, we had a chance to visit with Nanny and Adie at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Shanahan's house in Irving, TX. My Great Aunt Linda was there, and so was my cousin, Erin. It was so nice to meet everyone (although I slept the majority of the time). I also got to meet another set of Great Granparents (Mumsie's Mom and Dad): Momma and Poppa Newmon. Dad got some video of Momma and I. Mom will have to post it later when she has some more time.

Here I am with Devin before she had to go back home to Krum, TX:

Devin is TALLER than Mom now, and is catching up to Dad. She is 5' 6"!!!

Here I am taking a nice snooze on Granddaddy's lap (boy...was it cozy):

Granddaddy is probably watching FOX News (-:

More pictures during our trip to Dallas:

My shirt is very fitting for a road trip. I am indeed a Backseat Driver!

All this traveling just wore me out!

In other news...
I have reverted back to my early days by NOT sleeping very well at night. I have been waking Mom and Dad up frequently and I have been super fussy. Mom is having a hard time being convinced that I'm teething this early...but, you never know. There is also this thing called the "4 Month Wakeful Period." I will be 4 months old next week! Mom is *hoping* that it might just be me adjusting back to my normal routine after being on the road. We shall see! For now...Mom and Dad are stocking up on coffee and Red Bull!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

A Year Ago YESTERDAY...

A year ago yesterday...
I Was THIS:

I was the word "Pregnant" spelled out on a digital test. Mom and Dad were so excited and thrilled, and they knew at that exact moment that their lives would NEVER be the same.
NOW...I'm THIS:

Amazing, isn't it?

We all just got back from Dallas yesterday afternoon. My Great Grandmother (Nanna) passed away early on Thursday morning. We decided to pay our respects and drive out to Dallas late Thursday night (which explains the lack of updates). Nanna was a very special lady, and will truly be missed.

Life is so precious.

Mom will post pictures of our trip when she can find the time in the next day or so! We have been BUSY BUSY BUSY trying to get caught up.

Baby D and Baby J

Hi, All.

Mom meant to upload some video on Sunday evening from my trip to Baby D's house on Sunday afternoon. They decided to stick me in Daniel's highchair to see how I liked it. I stayed content for quite awhile! Looks like Mom and Dad will have to go pick up my highchair from storage so that I can join them at the coffee table for dinner! Here is the video of Baby D trying some new Gerber Yogurt-Melt thing (that I can’t wait to try in a few more months), and me just hanging out in the highchair. This video was taken RIGHT before I had the blowout of the century in my diaper. It was up to my hairline, ya'll!!! ALL THE WAY UP MY BACK AND ALMOST IN MY HAIR. EWE. Enjoy!:

Yesterday evening I was pretty cranky and TIRED. I just can't nap very well at daycare. Just WAY to much going on. When Mom and Dad picked me up...I was having my temperature taken. That's right. I get so tired and cranky that the ladies that take care of me think that I'm sick! I really need to start working on taking long, quality naps (like I do on the weekend when Mom and Dad are around). I get MOODY when I don't get my BEAUTY!

Tonight we are going to visit Auntie Amber and Cortland for Turner Tacos. Yay!

Sunday Fun Day

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I started off my morning with...(hope you are sitting down)...ALMOST 9 HOURS OF STRAIGHT SLEEP!!! I went to bed at 9:00 P.M last night, and woke Mom up to eat at 5:45 AM! Just 15 minutes shy of 9 hours!! There was a time when Mom thought I would never sleep more than 2 hours straight. GO ME! Mom and Dad are SO happy. Mom thinks that now that I have learned to soothe myself (with my thumb), I can easily put myself back to sleep. You want to see how the MAGIC happens? Well...you are in luck. Mom captured it on video. Check it out:

Pretty, funny...eh?

Yesterday, we went on a long walk with the BOB and Molly and Moses. I slept for about half of the walk, and just hung out and enjoyed the scenery for the other half. Mom is starting to think that I *might* have Dad's temperament vs. Mom's temperament. I'm perfectly content just chillin' (unless I'm tired or hungry).

Here I am just hanging out playing with some of my toys. Mom and Dad noticed that I really like playing with toy rings at daycare...so they went ahead and got me some. I love putting them in my mouth. YUM:

AIR BABY!!!!

Today...Mom and I are going up to Monument to see Baby D and Ginger. Dad is going to have the entire afternoon to watch his Dallas Cowboys in PEACE. No Mom and no baby nagging at him to do this or do that. Ha! Mom and I are going to eat lunch and go for a nice walk. I can't wait to see my buddy!

Hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Week-END Update!

Hello, All!
Hope everyone has had a great week. Thank Goodness it is FRIDAY. I'm SUPER excited to hang with Mom and Dad this weekend.

I have had a pretty good week. Daycare has WORN ME OUT. I have been napping from about 5:00 PM until Mom wakes me up for my bath every evening (which is usually around 8:00 PM). After my bath, I eat and go right back to bed. As I get older I will probably be able to "hang" a little longer in the evening. This week I have had tons of fun going on lots of Buggie Rides, playing with new toys, and doing some tummy time.

Here are some pictures Mom took during bath time on Wednesday night. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my evening bath:

Notice my AWESOME bath time hairstyle?:

Harry the Hippo (my favorite bath time companion):

The finished product:

I also got a NEW toy this week! Sophie the Giraffe! Mom has read that she is the "must have" for kiddos my age, and since Mom works hard for her money...she decided to splurge on this $20 piece of rubber for me:

Here is some video of me and Sophie (shortly after we met for the first time). This was taken on one of the rare occurances that I was actually awake after we got home from daycare. So, I'm a *little* bit cranky from being so tired. Oh, and remember to hit mute on the music so that you can hear the audio in the video:

These pictures were captured as I was patiently waiting for Mom and Dad to finish getting ready to leave the house yesterday morning. Mom decided to let me play with a Tupperware lid, and well...it ended up on my face. Could we do a little better in the toy department, Mother? Maybe Sophie next time? Thaaaanks:

Oh...and one last thing that Mom wanted to share regarding a special gift that I received recently. This gift is a teddy bear that was made from a favorite blanket that belonged to my Great Grandfather Williams. He went to heaven before I was born so I never did get to meet him. But, Mom tells me he was a very nice, caring, and gentle man. He was one of the SIX wonderful men that I was named after. Maybe someday...I will pass this bear along to one of my children:

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Mom and Dad are going to try and catch up on some sleep (especially Mom). She has been up since 3:45 AM today! I wanted to eat...and well, after I was finished she just could NOT go back to sleep.

Good Morning!

We have been up since 4:30 AM! Mom was only off her calculation by 30 minutes.

Party on, Wayne! Party on, Garth!
