Eeep! Time for an Update & Photo Dump!

Whoa...this week is somehow getting away from us. Thursday already! Time for an update!

We had a great last weekend. Spent time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, a trip to the park, Mom and Dad had another date night, Mom had brunch with "The C/Karissa's" and we met The Loomis Family for a fun evening at ITZ Sunday night to wrap it all up!

Alex is officially sitting on her own! I'm transitioning to pre-school this week, and seem to be liking it okay (minus a slight potty training regression). Thank goodness Gavin is transitioning right along with me and we are both going to be in the same class. Pretty girl!

Mom and I being super silly:

Big girl sitting up!

Let's see...I go and see Larraine for another haircut tonight. WE have a long weekend ahead of us with a trip to the zoo planned. Not much else to report. Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Professional Family Photos are In!

We received all of our family pictures back from the session we had on August 4th. We are generally pleased with the end result. We were a little disappointed that we didn't get any decent shots with Pikes Peak and Garden of The Gods in the background (which was the main reason we picked the location we did). Sigh. One of these times we are going to get our location right. We were also featured on our photographer's Blog! Check it out by going here:

Weekend Update~

Hey, All! Hope you had a good end to your week and a fantastic weekend. I would love to tell you all about mine~

Things have been a little bit crazy in the Infant room at school. They have been combining the younger babies with the older babies due to some scheduling conflicts and low enrollment numbers. Alex has been hanging with the BIG KIDS all week (big being...up to 14 months old). We found out last week that one of my teacher's is going to be leaving to join the Air Force. Ms. Jessica has been with me since last October when I joined the "Two's Room" and she is now moving on. I will miss her. I'm still happy to report that I'm 100% potty trained. No accidents for over 4 weeks now. Yay!

On Friday evening after school, we decided to grab dinner at Boston Market (one of my favorite places to eat). I LOVE getting my own meal, and I love their meatloaf, corn, and mashed potatoes. Oh, and their cornbread. YUM. After dinner, we went to BRU to pick up Alex's convertible car seats. She isn't going to be riding in them right away...we are going to wait a few more months before transitioning her out of her infant car seat. She is just getting so big and growing like a little weed! Grandma thinks it is due to all the yummy milk she eats (especially in the middle of the night). She has also been eating some purees here recently. She LOVES apples and mashed potatoes!

Alex "test-driving" her new big girl seat:

Looks comfortable!

Smiley baby:

On Saturday we did our normal routine around the house. Mom went to exercise while Dad entertained Alex and I. I took a marathon nap (3.5 hours), and woke up just in time to say goodbye to Mom and Dad as they were leaving for a double date-night. I had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa eating pizza and playing with my toys. Alex had fun rolling around on the ground and getting tickled. Mom and Dad had a wonderful time with Gavin's folks eating fondue and sipping wine at The Mona Lisa in Manitou Springs.

On Sunday we didn't do a whole lot. Just hung around and enjoyed our time together.

Alex likes to take out and put back in her pacifier. Most of the time she gets it right...but not always (-:

After my nap, we walked down to the park at the end of our street. First time for Alex in the swing:

She enjoyed it thoroughly! At one point, Mom thought she might fall asleep.
We know these beautiful summer afternoons aren't going to last much longer.

Here I am just "hanging around." LOL.

Daddy makes a good spotter:

A little Vitamin D sure works wonders.

After dinner, Mom left us to go play a little ice hockey. It was her first time back on ice skates since May of 2010 when we all went to Phoenix for a big ice hockey tournament. So, needless to say...she was exhausted after 1.5 hours of skating. But, it was good for her to get back on the ice. For the most part, it was just like riding a bike.

Nothing big planned for this week. Hope everyone has a great one!

Weekend Update & Alex is 7 Months Old Today!

Hi, All. Alex is 7 months old today! We didn't have time to snap a picture of her this morning (I decided to sleep-in so we were a little bit rushed trying to get out the door this morning), but we will be sure to get one of her today. Alex is such a neat little addition to our family. She isn't quite sitting up on her own yet, but she sure is rolling around ALL over the place like a pro! She has started to clap her hands, and she LOVES it when you do "Pat-A-Cake" with her. She still wakes up anywhere from 1-3 times during the night, and has been sleeping in her own crib for about 2 months now. She is such a smiley and happy baby...we just love watching her grow and learn. Her FAVORITE things are warm bath's, Nursing and cuddling with Mommy, Sophie the Giraffe, chewing on whatever necklace Mom is wearing for the day, and she literally SQUEELS with delight when I enter the room...so I guess I'm one of her favorite things!

Alex at 7 Months!

Smiley girl!

Last Wednesday evening, we joined Grandma and Grandpa for dinner at Gunther Toody's! Grandma is telling Alex all about cheeseburgers and French fries. "All things in moderation, Alex."

On Friday evening we went and grabbed dinner, and then went over to Dick's Sporting Goods and killed some time. We played with their tents, and dreamed talked about a day where we will have to buy one and camp out in the backyard! Mom claims she will sneak inside and crawl in her nice comfy bed while Dad sleeps on the hard ground with all of us kids. On Saturday morning, Mom went to her Jazzercise class while Alex and I hung out with Dad.

Saturday morning (Alex enjoying some time wearing only her diaper):

On Saturday afternoon, our buddy Rob came to hang out with us. Rob is Micki's boyfriend, and Micki is Dad's cousin. Rob is currently working a huge project at Denver International Airport. We really had a great time visiting with him. We took him to Panino's for dinner...figured he would welcome a break from all the chain restaurants and enjoy some local cuisine.

On Sunday I ran a few errands with Dad. Look! It's BATMAN!

On Sunday afternoon, we went down to Ms. Junior and Mr. Jason's house for a Mexican-themed evening of food and fun.

Baby Kay playing with Lightning:

Alex was sort of having a rather fussy evening. She didn't nap very well, and was not a fan of all the commotion (toddler's screeching, dog barks, and loud adult conversation). She was NOT in the mood.

At least Daniel and I had a great time! Daniel and I enjoying some tortillas outside (Mom failed to capture any pictures of the AWESOME Mexican Food Spread):

Ms. Junior and Baby Cami snoozin away:

Baby Kay!

Look at those cheeks on Baby Cami!

Daniel and I enjoying our milk boxes:

We had a great evening and enjoyed seeing everyone. I tell ya...it was hard to get back into the groove this morning. Not much planned for this week. Hoping everyone had a great weekend!
