Once again, we decided another Birthday Party for Molly was in order.

She is moving slower and slower these days. I spend a lot of time cleaning her butt, and changing pads. She still loves to eat, cuddle with us, and be on my feet while I work all day. We know our days are running out with her, so we try and give her as much love as possible.
Fast forward to Friday night, and this was a tasty beer from a little place called Iron Tree in Florissant, Colorado.
Fried Pickles and Brussels Sprouts.
Grilled Chicken Salad--because those beer carbs will catch up to you fast!

This is Amy--her family owns the little cabin right close to Lake George. She was making us a gourmet breakfast on Saturday by heating up breakfast sandwiches in the microwave. Ha!
She thought it was funny I was taking pictures.
We got up bright and early to hit the Lost Creek Trail. It is about 18 miles before it dead-ends, so we manged to make in it about 4.5 miles, and then 4.5 miles back.
Beautiful weather and it was such a pretty hike.

This was our goal--to make it to these old abandoned buildings.
After our 3.5 hour hike, we hit up one of my favorite breweries. Paradox!
They have great sour beers. Although the service was sort of meh that day, the food and beer were delicious.
After lunch, we went back to the cabin for some beers and girl talk.
Oh, and cheese. Blueberry cheese!
And things may have got silly.

And we laughed so hard we cried using the Snapchat filter that makes you look like a dude.

Next morning we sipped our coffee on the porch and contemplated never coming back to our children and the laundry list of items that we knew would be waiting for us when we got home. Great little getaway!
The kids have one more week of camp, and then they are home with me until school starts on the 15th! Can't believe we have just a few more weeks of summer. Katja and Jazelle are coming to visit this weekend. We are picking them up on Friday, and they head home on Monday. We are planning on going to the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur as it has been YEARS since we have all gone.
