Weekly Update

We had a decent past week.  NO BLIZZARDS. So that was a nice, added feature.  I went to drop of a fecal sample with the vet for Ms. Molly, and got to meet Ms. Katniss.  "Kat" for short. She literally made my heart skip a beat with her puppy cuteness.

Then I got to come home to this one throwing himself on me at dinner time.  Ha!

I ate this delicious lobstah roll from a food truck I had come to the office last Wednesday.

And Mosey again being adorable.

Thursday afternoon was "student led conferences" at the school for both of the kids.  Pretty cool for them to tell us all about how they are doing, their goals, and some of their recent projects.

Alex's group helped design the playground area for a new school.  They wrote out the plan, and then made everything in clay and painted it.

Here she is going over all of her goals for the last part of the year.

JR was showing us one of his projects.

Alex enjoyed all of the mountains.

JR going over his progress and goals.

JR blew us away with a presentation he had put together about rocks and minerals.  Nothing but great things to say about both of our munchkins.  We are so proud.

Friday we met some friends for lunch and some swimming time at Villa.  This was the only picture I snapped of Alex and Eli int he hot tub.

It always seems easier to snap pictures while they are seated and eating. I promise we don't eat huge ice cream treats every day!

Friday night was super fun with some friends of ours on a party bus "dive bar" crawl.  I wasn't sure the bars that were lined up were going to be "divey" enough.
Jeff sitting on a beanbag chair on the bus!

Boy was I wrong.  LOL.

Jose and Jeff.

Kristin, myself and Jenny on the bus.

Larissa and Shawn joined us!

It was great time had by all.
Saturday night I went to Denver with some friends, and we made sure to go to Smok for some delicious BBQ.  These were the brisket nachos!

More food pictures...grabbed tacos with the girls after another Board and Brush event.

I thought my laundry room needed a face lift.

All of our signs turned out great.  Hannah, Larissa, Amy and I!

Today was the first day of Spring Break for the kiddos.  I signed them up for a camp with their best buddies.  I picked them up early for their dentist appointment, and they were seriously sad to leave.  I promised them both that if they had zero cavities, we would go out for sugar.
And...

We did it!
Not sure yet what we have planned for the end of Spring Break, but we are figuring out something to do.  The weather will hopefully stay decent, as we all have some Spring Fever going on.

Blizzard-Bomb Cyclone 2019

We survived the Bomb Cyclone Blizzard. And by survived I mean sort of. School was cancelled for two days, and mix one teacher work day and a weekend, and it was a lot of unplanned time stuck in the house. Thankfully Jeff got home safe from San Diego late Tuesday night, before the blizzard roared through our area. It started about 8:30 in the morning with rain and heavy wind, and by noon it was pretty terrible. We had co-workers that went in to the office and ended up not being able to leave. We had others that left, and ended up in ditches or taking 2-4 hours to get home. It was one of the worst certain parts of Colorado Springs had experienced. Jeff had a travel laptop with him, so he was able to do some work. I learned that if we were office mates we might not survive.
These two didn't care about any Bomb Cyclone Blizzard.   GIVE US TREATS, WOMAN.

This was early on Wednesday with the blizzard was starting.  I think everyone was still sort of skeptical at this point.

Just a few hours later...

Our neighborhood lost lots of fences that were blown over, and trees!  The site was pretty surreal once we got out of the house on Friday.
This was one of the drifts outside the front door.

This was the scene Thursday morning of Woodmen.  It was a parking lot of stranded and deserted cars.

This is what a friend of mine posted of the radar.  That eye brought in 92 mph winds, and was compared to a Cat 2 hurricane!

We finally got out of the house Thursday afternoon to go check out the snow.

I took this picture and posted it to the swimming lesson Facebook page, and we won  the kids new goggles! Sweet!

Brooke decided to join the kids in their snow fun, and Jeff took them down to the park to go sledding.

Burn off all that energy!

It was COLD>

Molly decided to put her ear up, and look like a Frenchie.

The goggles we won! $47 worth!

JR mastered the dressing room while his sister was trying on some pants. LOL

Saturday morning Larissa and I did Muscles and Mimosas, and then rewarded ourselves with these beautiful mimosas!

Moses and I do selfies!

Couldn't help myself.

Saturday we met our neighbors at a local brewery for some tasty food by the fire.

Ooooh!

Delicious tacos and salsa.

On Sunday Jeff captured this one taking a bath.  I thought it was JR at first glance...

Prepping my veggie tray for the St Patty's Day party we went to with some new friends I had never met before in person.  We had a good time!

And we did our traditional selfies before we left!

Only 3 days this week of school for the kids.  Then, conferences and Spring Break all next week.  The kids are doing a camp with their best buddies.
