The Cousins Visit!

Greetings! Phew! I tell ya. These past few days have just zoomed right by. I have been having fun playing and visiting with my cousins from Arizona. They came over on Monday afternoon to visit, and we went to Little Biggs (same place that my First Birthday took place at), and we had a fun time eating pizza and running around. Here I am watching all of the action going on at the table:

After pizza and play, we came back to the house and visited some more. My cousins Vondrea and Jazelle gave me a lot of attention. Katja (my younger cousin) is going through a phase where she doesn't want anything to do with anyone else if your name isn't Mom or Dad. That's okay. We will have plenty more opportunities to get to know each other in the future.

Last night, we got to see The Knowles Family again. We went out for BBQ, and did some more playing and visiting. It was great being able to see them all. Can't wait to see them in 2011 (maybe we will take another trip down to Arizona in May).
These past few days hanging out at home with Mom, Dad, Molly, and Moses have been great. Today, Mom and Dad had to empty out our storage unit and do some painting...so they dropped me off at daycare. Let me tell you...I was NOT happy about it. I would much rather hang with them at home. I wouldn't even let go of Mom's leg so that she could leave this morning and I did my fair share of crying. I made it extremely difficult for her. Mom and Dad are going to keep me home the next 4 days. I do make it difficult to be productive around the house, but HEY! I'm worth the distraction! Here is a picture of me enjoying my morning breakfast in my new breakfast nook. We like to open up the blinds, and sit and look outside as we eat our breakfast and listen to music. It is going to be hard for ALL of us to return to our "normal" routine next week.

So for now, we are enjoying every minute of it! The New Year is right around the corner. We are having some of Mom and Dad's friends over...and some of MY friends over too on New Year’s Eve. I can't wait! Grandma is leaving to go see my Great Grandma Gloria tomorrow morning. We hope she has a good trip, and we will be taking good care of Grandpa while she is away. Hope everyone is enjoying their last week of 2010.

Christmas Wrap-UP

Hey, All! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a wonderful day. Where did we leave off...OH! Grandma and Grandpa came over for Christmas Brunch, and we opened presents. Before any present opening could take place, Grandma had to eat by Bobo for a pre-brunch appetizer:

OH! & I received some of this green papery-stuff. Not sure exactly what it is yet, but Mom and Dad said that I better be very careful with it and how I use it as I get older (-:

Oh, and I enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper and the ribbons the most.

For Christmas dinner, we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's. We had green bean casserole, a corn bake, rolls, roast beef, and mashed potatoes (my favorite), and homemade chocolate pie (ohmygoodness). Here I am waiting for everyone else to join me at the table.

Here is the beautiful little Christmas Tree that belonged to my Uncle Doug. It joined us at the head of the Christmas table:

We had a wonderful Holiday! Yesterday morning we went over to our townhome to let the new tenants in. We told them to make sure they take good care of my first home. Today we are doing some errands and some things around the house. Later this afternoon, my Aunt Lynda and Uncle J.J are coming to visit with my 4 cousins. Not sure what the plans are yet....but I'm sure we will figure out something fun to do!

Merry Christmas to All! My Second Christmas has been great so far! Santa came to visit me last night while I was sleeping! Guess I have been a good boy this year. I even learned how to say "HO HO HO" just like Santa:

These next pictures really aren't related to Christmas in anyway...but they are related to the fact that I LOVE Mom's Spaghetti! She cooked our first meal in our new house, and managed NOT to burn it down!

I have been practicing using my spoon so that I can feed myself. 10% of the time the food actuall makes it to my mouth!



Back to Christmas...
Grandma and Grandpa came over last night for Pizza! Talk about a fancy Christmas Eve Dinner! We enjoyed visting, and Grandpa helped Dad hang up our new TV. Fast forward to Christmas morning...

I love to hide from Mom and Dad, so Santa figured this would be the PERFECT gift. He was right! I love to sit in it and play "Peek A Boo!"

Santa also brought me a Toy Story 3 phone so that I can call all 3 of my Grandma's at anytime.

After playing with my gifts, I had my Christmas morning breakfast. Cinnamon Toast Bread, Watermelon, and bananas. YUM!


The plans for today? Well, Grandma and Grandpa are coming over so that we can have brunch! For Christmas dinner we are going over to their house, and Grandma is cooking up a Roast with all the fixins. We hope that all of our friends and family are having a wonderful Christmas spending time with each other, and remembering the true meaning behind this special Holiday. We love you and Merry Christmas!!!

The Move!!

Hey, All! Sorry it has been so long since the last update. Mom and Dad have yet to really do any Christmas shopping and they JUST got up the Christmas Tree, so as you may have guessed...things have been sort of crazy! I will do my best to recall the most recent BIG and small events.

Let's see...
On Friday, Mom and Dad had a bit of a carpet scare. Turns out the carpet that was sold to them, and the carpet that was being installed over 3 days were two different things! Thankfully, they were able to get it all straightened out, and the carpet install was a success (and just in time for our move-in date). They were afraid that we were going to have to push our entire schedule back a few days (which would mean a LOT of rescheduling). Phew!

Mom and Dad ended their work week with a Hot Chocolate party at work with their co-workers before the Holiday break. Lucky ducks:

Between running around and getting everything packed and ready to go, we were able to spend time quality time with Devin this past weekend. We are sad that Devin has moved back to Dallas. We are going to miss her. I enjoyed my time with her and can't wait to see her again. My Big Sis and I:


We managed to move quite a few of the boxes over to the new house on Saturday and Sunday. We had a fun dinner with Devin at Red Robin on Saturday night. On Sunday evening, as we were packing some or our last boxes, Mom snapped a couple of quick pictures of me in my first home. My first home was TREMENDOUSLY great to my family. Many milestones took place in my first home, and we are all going to miss it very much. Here I am enjoying time on the kitchen floor (one of my favorite places to hang out and look for things to get in to):

Mom ended up getting sick the night before moving day (Sunday night). Of all times to get sick! She either had a virus or food poisoning, but she was not feeling well at all. But, first thing Monday morning the moving truck pulled up...and the movers were ready to Rock N Roll. So, Mom had to tough it out and do what she needed to do to help things along.

I was dropped off at daycare and Molly and Moses went to play at Susie's house for the day. Later that evening, we all showed up to our new home. Mom and Dad were wiped! Grandma and Grandpa have been a HUGE help. Grandpa is quite the handy man, and Grandma sure does know how to set up a kitchen!

The past few days have been Busy Busy Busy. Unpacking a million boxes, putting things back together, sorting things, hanging things, baby-proofing things, fixing things, shopping for things, pondering things, appreciating things...and loving the new change! I have been going to daycare late in the morning the past few days, as I make it somewhat difficult for Mom and Dad to be as productive as they need to be. Tonight, we found time to put up the Christmas Tree! I only had 2 toddler break-downs during the tree decorating, as they would not let me tote around glass ornaments or yank the lights off the tree (not safe).

We can't believe that tomorrow is the Eve of Christmas Eve! We still have SO much to do. But, we are also finding time here and there to sit back, and take it all in. We are so very fortunate, and super excited to make new memories in our new home. Can't wait for all of you to see it! Hope you are taking a few moments to rest and enjoy the Holiday Season. House and Weekend Update

Hey, All! Wow! A lot sure has happened in the past week. The Wright Family is now Proud and Official owners of this house!:

Our closing was a success last Wednesday, and we have been moving full-speed ahead since the minute we closed. On Thursday, the carpet and padding was completely ripped out:

Yucky stains that sunk in through the carpet and the padding down to the wood were found in quite a few places:

Let me tell you...it was GROSS. Mom and Dad are super happy with their decision to go ahead and replace all of the carpet. On Friday morning, the painters started on their MASSIVE paint job. Mom and Dad had all of the "interesting" paint colors wiped out. Don't worry! Mom took plenty of "BEFORE" pictures that she will post very soon so that you can see what the house looked like before it was painted. The painters finished up last night, and the carpet install will start this Wednesday. The new paint has already made a HUGE difference. HUGE. We are getting more and more excited to move everyday as things are coming right along. We spent the weekend packing and ordering furniture. Come Saturday night, we needed a break so we headed over to the home of a good friend of Auntie K (wink wink). We played games and ate food, and visited with good friends. OH, and I played the Drums? Or the Bongo's? Whatever the proper term for these things are called.
"You know...I have a natural talent for banging things with my hands and making noise. Do you mind if I take a stab at these bad boys?"

"Oh Yeah. Get down on it!"

"Yes. The ladies love my musical talent."

I had a blast! I stayed up until 11:00 PM. I just couldn’t possibly be expected to sleep with all the fun going on:

My buddy Daniel showed up a little later on, and turns out...we had the same exact jammies on.

Daniel was a little tired...and wasn't in the mood to be the center of all the attention:


Daniel says "Okay. Enough with the picture taking already. Haven't you people ever seen two babies wearing the same exact pair of pajamas before? Geesh."

We all had a great time, and I slept in until 8:00 AM on Sunday morning. I was pooped! Yesterday was spent doing more house prep. Dad and Grandpa put down the oil primer on the wood floors (to lock in any potential odors from coming back to visit us down the road), and Mom and I hung out and did some more packing and some laundry. Yesterday evening we drove around to look at some Christmas lights. We found some really neat houses (the pictures do not do this home any justice as it was covered in lights and had all sorts of neat features):


It was fun driving around and seeing all the festive Christmas lights.

Today is my Uncle Doug's 27th Birthday. We all miss him very much, but we know that he is having a grand party up above while he is watching over all of us.
