JR's 1st Grade Concert and Easter 2017!

We had a busy week! Which is much appreciated as busy is helping the days move by fast.   Still feeling really good and haven't yet reached that "DONE" point.  I just have a week to go to avoid throwing out my back or catching some evil virus.  I think I can!  Everything looked great at our weekly appointment and Non Stress Test.  Only one more appointment to go this Wednesday, and Michelle and Finley arrive on Saturday.  Monday morning I report to the hospital at 5:30 am, and then we hope for a smooth day and a baby by dinner time would be fantastic!
37 weeks, 3 days.  I was much, much larger with Alex and JR.

On Tuesday night JR had his 1st grade performance, and a special speaking part about the Grand Canyon. I did get video!  He did a great job and we were very proud of him.

About 162 First Graders!

There were TONS of people in the audience.

Grandma and Grandpa got to come and watch as well!  And of course we celebrated with McDonald's for dinner (JR's choice).
On Saturday we dyed 36 eggs! Yes.  36.  Thank you Kings for having an 18 egg sale for $.99!

Somebody sure was proud!

And guess who came to visit!  Sunday morning the kids were very pleased with the amount of chocolate the Easter Bunny brought.  And! A new game, headphones for JR as his broke, and a new helmet for Alex as her head out-grew the last one.  Pokemon cards and pretty paper for Alex to color on also made their Easer Baskets.  Score!

We got all dressed up and ready to go to our 5th Annual Triple J Easter Egg Hunt!
Goofy kids!

Ahhh. Much better!

For the 2nd year in a row, we went to The Cano's house in Black Forrest. Only THIS year, we were able to do the hunt outside!  Last year there was 3 feet of snow on the ground.

All the munchkins!

This picture was with the boy Alex as when I tried to line up JR and Alex, he heard his name so he jumped in.  Ha!

Going over the plastic egg loot!

And a few pics from Angella, Gayleen, and Ruth's cameras.

The buffet spread was awesome.  I should have gone for round 2!

We just relaxed the rest of the afternoon, and it was very nice.  This week I have my last doctor's appointment, and we have a birthday party for boy Riley on Saturday, and then Sunday it looks like Jeff, Alex and I are going to have a nice Sunday dinner at a little place off of Highway 115.  JR might hang with Grandma and Grandpa and do something else instead.  Not sure when I'm going to update the Blog again after Monday, but I surely will at one point!

Keystone Getaway

Last week was a busy week!  JR had his follow-up appointment with the pediatric endocrinologist last week.  He grew an inch, and has gained almost 3 lbs and the doctor was pretty pleased with that.  I had my weekly appointment and everything with Baby Jackson is looking good.  I think this kid found my sciatic nerve on Friday, so that has been catching my attention here and there.  Only two more weeks to go--I think I can make it!  All I need to do is avoid any nasty viruses and keep from  throwing out my back.  On Friday afternoon we all headed up to Keystone for our company's 20 Year Anniversary Celebration.
Friday morning Alex and Moses:

He is her favorite, and he knows it!

We had a great trip up to Keystone, and were very impressed with our little two bedroom condo.  It was huge!  And had tons of nice upgrades and we figured we could easily stay another day or two.

The weather was very nice both Friday and Saturday.

We had a welcoming reception Friday evening and it was very kid-friendly.  A HUGE conference room was set up with a bouncy house and fun stuff for the kids to do while the adults were able to sit, relax, have a couple drinks, and visit.

Saturday morning view!

We ventured out Saturday afternoon for lunch at Pug Ryan's in Dillon (the food was just very meh), and then found the kids area where they did crafts and Alex got her arm painted.

They had a great time. Saturday night was the actual company anniversary celebration dinner.

5 years ago we had our company anniversary celebration in Breckenridge.  Alex was just 4 months old, and I got food poisoning.  Thankfully this trip was much more enjoyable!
Sunday morning we stopped for breakfast at the Haywood Diner.  It was delicious!

This one will snag your coffee when you aren't watching!

Goof Ball.

After brunch we went to the bottom of the main Keystone hill and watched a little bit of the Slush Cup.  It was pretty cold on Sunday, so we didn't hang for long.

What we did see was pretty entertaining.  These people are nuts cruising down this hill and trying to skim across this freezing cold little pool of water.  We had a co-worker compete and she went down a few times.  Crazy!

Folks dressed in all sorts of crazy costumes.  They even had a hill that kids were competing on!

We headed back home early afternoon and both kids conked out.  They were pooped!

Sunday afternoon we got everything situated for the week.  JR has his 1st grade music concert tomorrow and has a special speaking part that we are excited to see.  Grandma and Grandpa will be joining us.  I have my weekly appointment to check up on Baby Jackson, and Thursday is the monthly board meeting for the school.  Easter is Sunday and we will be carrying on our 5th Annual Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt Tradition with our friends.   We have about 36 eggs to dye on Saturday.  I'm enjoying staying busy.
