Weekly Update

We had a pretty good week! Uneventful for the most part--which is good! The kids both had dentist appointment with Dr. Palmer.  Alex (even after being traumatized the week prior at the pediatrician's office) did GREAT.  Didn't hesitate at all and was very cooperative.
In fact...she didn't even move an inch from this exact position the entire appointment! LOL

JR of course acts like he owns the place.  It was nice to have their appointments "side by side" and it was super nice to not have to be in the room with JR.  Ahhhhh.

We knew Saturday was going to be beautiful.  And we knew Sunday was going to be BLAH.  So we decided to take advantage of the weather and head to the zoo.  It was *a little* chilly in the morning, but as the sun came up it turned out to be a very nice day.

We got their right when the giraffe's were being let out of their indoor facility.




Of course we had to visit and feed the Budgie exhibit.

Nothing like 100 birds zinging by your head to make you think about Hitchcock movies!

This Tiger decided to come up close and say hi. Since being sprayed in the 6th grade during a field trip to the zoo---I'm a little gun shy!  Ha!

Since we didn't have to rush home for afternoon naps, we decided a stop at Ivy Wild was in order for an after zoo snack and a beer!  We might have to make it tradition!

We had a wonderful day and everyone slept great Saturday night!  Can't wait for Spring and Summer to get here FAST.

Because Sunday? Was quite the opposite.  We knew we were going to be stuck inside the rest of the day (and potentially today and Tuesday) as the weather comes through our area with LOTS of snow predicted.  So!  We decided to get out for a bit.  Mickey D's, anyone?

We took the rest of the afternoon to chill around the house and color!  I got one of those grown-up coloring books and I worked on it until my thumb went numb.  Ha!

We even got a home delivery of Girl Scout Cookies! I mean...how could you say NO when they are delivering cookies in the poopie weather?

The daycare didn't close today so we are keeping an eye on the storm.  We will see how much it all plays out. Not much going on this week, so that is GOOD!
