Go Broncos!

We had a great week--well, minus ALL the snow. The storm they predicted did not disappoint. Jeff measured 15 inches in our backyard! It came in pretty hard Monday night and the daycare closed for the 2nd time in one winter!

I got to work on my adult coloring book! Turns out too much coloring makes my thumb go numb.  Ha!

We made "snow ice cream."  I had mixed feelings about it--but the kids loved it!


You make it by combining maple syrup, milk, and vanilla together and then pouring it over some FRESH snow.  And we had TONS of that!

This was Tuesday afternoon--trying to dig out the driveway and walk way to our front door.

The news reported that we hadn't received this much snow since 1987.  Crazy!

Sunday morning the sun was out and we took full advantage of some beautiful sledding weather.

We ended up making friends with some really nice kids that were also sledding.  Alex took a liking to one 10-year old little boy and he was helping her up and down the hill, and she even joined him on a couple of runs.  Too cute!

In case you didn't know...the Broncos played in Super Bowl 50!  We had our gear on and were ready to watch the game:

We went to our co-workers house for the party. They had an amazing spread and TONS of people! Robert and his wife, Laura--had quite the set-up for entertaining.  It was like being at a bar but without the over-priced food and drinks!  It was awesome.

The kids had fun, too. They might have over-indulged a little?  Poor Alex woke up twice in the middle of the night covered in puke ):

And wouldn't you know it? THE BRONCOS BEAT THE PANTHERS! It has been 18 years since our last Super Bowl win.  Super exciting!

We decided to keep Ms. Alex home today with her tummy being upset.  We hope it isn't a virus and just something she ate that made her tummy upset.  She is acting normal and seems to be okay.

Two Valentine's Day parties lined up for JR this week--his school is closed on Friday and Monday. Looks like the weather is expected to warm up nicely this week.  Yes!!
