A few pictures taken last week:
Bath time on Tuesday evening. Solo. (Alex was already in bed as she was still recovering from Croup):
She really started feeling better on Thursday and Friday. Back to her "sassy" self (picture taken by Ms. Kelly at school--she was giving her THE LOOK because she wanted her ball, and Ms. Kelly was too busy taking pictures):
Bath time on Thursday evening (Alex is back in on the action--I missed my bath buddy):
Detective Alex:
Play date at our house. Ms. Kelly's son and Ms. Lyssa's nieces came over for a visit on Friday evening.
Mom and Dad went and said goodbye to a special member of the family. It was one of the hardest things they have had to do in a long time. Niecci lived almost 14 years...14 WONDERFUL years. He will be greatly missed.
Grandpa and Niecci, July of 2002:
Niecci and The Family, June 30th 2013:
This mama deer and her babies hung around Grandma and Grandpa's house all day on Friday, and Saturday. They are very symbolic to our family, and it was pretty special that they didn't wonder very far during this time. Mom was able to catch a quick picture of them, shortly before we all said goodbye to Niecci. It was a beautiful afternoon, and we truly couldn't have asked for a more peaceful way for Niecci's journey to Rainbow Bridge.
On Saturday afternoon, Mumsie and Granddaddy came to visit. Alex and I were very happy to see them waiting for us, when we woke up from our naps.
Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner on Saturday evening, and we grilled some yummy food...and enjoyed our dinner on the patio after the rain stopped.
Sunday morning. Mumsie reading me a story:
Sunday afternoon. Alex doing what she does and making a HUGE mess out of her yogurt:
Goofball!
Another Goofball!
Grandma and Grandpa came over Sunday evening to hang out with Alex and I. Mom and Dad went with Mumsie and Granddaddy to Hacienda Colorado, and enjoyed a nice evening out with them. Being able to visit and chat without having to entertain Alex and I was quite enjoyable!
Monday was Labor Day! No school. So, we all got ready and went to...Sam's Club! Mumsie and Alex ready to go:
Lunch at Smashburger:
After we took Mumsie and Granddaddy to the airport, so they could return home...we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's house for a visit. Grandma dug out her stash of toys that included some of Mom, Aunt Lynda, and Uncle' Doug’s Playschool collection.
We enjoyed a nice quiet Monday evening at home.
