Long Weekend and Long Week

Well.  I was waiting for that rug...that rug to be pulled out when everything is just going a little to smooth.  & last Wednesday we got the news that Devin was diagnosed with AML (Accute Myleoid Lukemia).  Jeff is heading down to Dallas this week and will have more details.  For now, I'm putting my faith in the nurses and doctors that will be caring for her as she begins her next battle.  Not the news we were expecting as we knew her scans were clear just a few months ago.  Sigh.

This long weekend Jeff and I got schooled in hot tub chemistry!

And the kids found this awesome wildfire bouquet last week on our front lawn.

The kids still love their bubble baths and bubble beards.

And we had pizza and a couple beers at the brewery right around the corner from the house.

We made an Ikea trip on Sunday!


And fixed the couch that the dogs had ruined! Before:

Moses is actually afraid to lay on.  Double win!  So here he is--just watching TV.

On Monday (Labor Day) we went to one of the last Sky Sox games of the regular season.  It was HOT! But we stayed the entire game and had a good time as a family.


Alex is frowning as she was not happy that Sox the Fox was near.



Sky Sox lost in the 10th inning. Was a great game though!
We had some nasty smoke blow in from the fires burning in the west--caused for a pink sun.

Jeff leaves on Friday for Dallas, and we have a busy week ahead.
