6 Teeth! & a Great Weekend

Oh...what a MUCH better week! SO much better. Now that Alex's FIRST 6 TEETH HAVE FINALLY POPPED THROUGH, and everyone is healthy...we all had a much less hectic week than the previous one. Phew. & YES...SIX TEETH...all at once. Well played, mother nature. Well played.

In Alex's new Toddler Room...there are some fancy hair stylists that can do a pretty mean French Braid. This is super impressive because A). There isn't much hair to work with. B). Alex's hair is super short and baby fine. C). She is uhh..100% toddler and won't sit still long enough for Mom to snap a picture let alone for somebody to braid her hair! We don't know how they do it!

After Mom got back home from Kickboxing Saturday morning...we walked around the corner to our neighbors home. They own one of those inflatable bounce companies that rent bounce houses, snow cone and popcorn machines, and tables, chairs, etc. We have driven by numerous times when they have had one of their contraptions set up in the front yard...but never had the opportunity to talk to them about it...until Saturday! They were holding a garage sale and selling snow cones, and told us that whenever they have something set up...we are free to come over and bounce around.  Total score!

Alex...not too sure at first:

Warming up to the idea:

"Okay...this is pretty fun!"

We will have to visit these nice neighbors a few more times this summer (and next summer, and the summer after that).

On Saturday afternoon the weather was BEAUTIFUL!  We hung around outside in the backyard and I got to enjoy some root beer out of a bottle.

Mmmmm...

Ahhhhh.

Not bad!

I look like I just got done working hard all day, huh?

Mom and Dad picked up some BBQ for dinner...and we had what felt like a great "summer" evening.  It was wonderful.

Sunday morning Dad was left peacefully to sleep-in.  Mom got up with Alex and I, and we had breakfast and watched Toy Story.  I like to love on Alex...it is pretty darn cute.  Mom was quick enough to snap a picture of me giving her hugs and kisses Sunday morning:

Again...the weather was PERFECT.  Alex sat and enjoyed a part of her bagel in the fresh Sunday morning air:

Poor Molly and Moses stuck inside...they just have NO manners when somebody has food.  The first opportunity they get...and they snatch food right out of your hand.

After our lovely morning, Mom went over to a friend's house in an effort to surprise Auntie Karissa in what was a successful Surprise Engagement Party!  Trent and Karissa were engaged a few months ago...and Mom and her friend's felt it was a good excuse to have a party!
Auntie K and Trent (she was SUPER surprised and had NO idea):

All the delicious brunch food!

Auntie Amber and Ms. Junior:

Auntie K got the Kitchen Aid she had always hoped and dreamed for.  Again...she was SUPER surprised.

Auntie K and Junior!

Mommy and her lovely lady friends:

Mom had a great time...and we are all very happy and excited for Karissa and Trent.

Since Dad did just an amazing job with Alex and I, he got to pick where we had dinner Sunday night (bathed us both and everything).  Would you be surprised to find out he picked...a burger joint? Freddy's no less?  So...that is where we went.  Turns out Alex is a bigger ketchup hog than Devin AND Mom.  She sucks it right out of the ramekin:

"More ketchup, porfavor."

Too funny.

We had a wonderful week and weekend, and are looking forward to a LONG Memorial Day weekend coming up.  Possibly a North Pole Trip!  Can't wait.
