Weekly Update

This week has been a better week as we are starting to feel the relief from the anxiety of Molly's poor situation. We miss her like crazy, and I will get caught off guard and have a moment filled with teary eyes. But man oh man was she a lot of work and care, and as we were willing to continue it forever--it is easier to realize now just how unhappy she was and how much it took just to get through the day. Now that we only have Moses to focus on, he is getting tons of extra love and attention and he has helped remind us what a good quality of life should look and feel like for a dog. & trust me when I say he is getting every single minute of it.  He now enjoys going with me to pick up the kids at the bus stop most days. We get to walk around the park until the bus shows up, and then the kids all come over in a huge herd to say hello.  He ALSO got a couple of evening walks.  Hey! The weather is still nice in the evening and we have the daylight...so why not?
Here is Moses getting under my leg and keep guard while we did some digging around in the wood chips with the metal detector.

We are now also able to drop the kids off at a bus stop instead of dealing with the crazy traffic and congestion around the school, so this has been a huge load off my stress and has given me back about 1.5 hours a day of my time not having to deal. We are very happy with that!
Lap warmer:

Thursday I helped host a coffee hour at the school.   Because I asked so nicely, Great Harvest donated  3 loaves of bread, and King Soopers donated a $20 gift card for lots of donuts.

This guy is a creeper who waits for me to finish my lunch so he can lick the container.

Our beautiful flowers from the neighbors are still being enjoyed and giving so much brightness to our counter.

Jeff and upgraded our phones, and with the phones came MUCH better cameras since we last upgraded 3 years ago.  So, I have been playing around a lot with the camera.

Fuzzy's waiting for some friends to meet us for dinner and Whirlyball.

Our friends Shayna, James, Jad, Becki, and Rebecca.  We had a fun time hanging out with this group Friday night!

Saturday was hair day for Jeff and I as we get ready for vacation!  I got crazy and added some blue.

Saturday evening we had a gathering with the neighbors where we played games and ate all sorts of yummy appetizers.

JR played most of the adult games, and helped me understand the rules.  Ha!

Deanne, Brent, and their daughter Nicole and Vinny (the twins), and then Vinny's buddy.

It was a good having some good ol' neighbor bonding time!
On Sunday, Gwyn and Larissa met Alex and I for breakfast and pedicures. We went to a cute little coffee and mimosas.  The girls had white chocolate steamers:

Yum!

And pedicures for Mexico!

These two hate when we have to say goodbye.

We spent the rest of our Sunday sort of hanging out.   Today was picture day at school! So JR complained about wearing jeans, but he sure does look handsome!  It is starting to feel like fall in the mornings...so jean season is right around the corner.

Man I sure do make cute kids.

This week is our last week of work and school before we head to Playa Del Carmen.  We are all super excited to be going back!
