Back To School

The kids started their FIRST days of 2nd and 4th grade this past Thursday!  We had a Project Launch night on Wednesday evening, and Grandma and Grandpa were able to join us although I failed to capture any pictures.
We decided to ride our bikes to Starbucks for a little treat on our last day of summer.

This one was super excited to start school again.  She has an amazing teacher this year, and kept a great attitude despite not being placed in a class with her friends from last year.

When you know most of the food truck owners in town, you get hooked up!  Alex got her very own HUGE thing of nachos and was quite impressed with the situation.

JR was given this little mini composition book, and after he had gone to bed Jeff noticed that he wrote about his displeasure not being in the same class as his best buddy.   Cute and sad all at the same time.

After school we celebrated a successful first day with Gelato with some friends.

And Jeff wanted to skip the gym and go out to dinner.  So we went to Red Robin and enjoyed an evening out.

Saturday evening we joined Larissa and Shawn at Boards and Brush for some more wood sign making.

Jeff talked this guy into putting on the finishing touches for hin. 

Shawn had nobody to help him with all that flowery detail.

My little plant box turned out pretty cute!

Jeff's sign is just missing the beer opener at the bottom, and it will be a perfect addition to our bar.

My little plant box wasn't approved by corporate, so they made me hold up another sign to be a part of the official group photo.  Lame!

Not much going on this week. The kids have testing on Thursday morning, and are off Friday.  A nice way to ease them back to the school year.
