On Thursday we had to wake the kids at 5 am to catch a 9:25 am flight out of Denver. We then had about 2.5 hours to kill! We grabbed breakfast and walked around for a bit.
On our way!
Thursday afternoon we didn't waste anytime getting in the pool. Texas is HOT in July! And the pool was oh so perfect.
Alex had a blast hanging in the pool everyday while JR would give it an hour or two and then be over it...ready to move on to the next thing or just zone out in front of the TV with Grandaddy.
Thursday night was the only night we went out to dinner. We went to a little Mexican place called Gloria's and they had awesome margaritas.
Friday morning the early risers (Sharon and Alex) joined me at Roots (now called Edison Coffee) my favorite little coffee shop right around the corner. Mmmmmm. I manged to get in TWO visits.
Amanda and I managed to score a free week at Lifetime Fitness in Flower Mound, so we got in a couple good workouts 3 out of the 4 days we were visiting. After two hours at the gym--we joined this crew!
You should see her tan!
On Saturday we had a huge family BBQ and guess who came? Devin! The kids were thrilled to see her.
The plan was to have a swimming party also, but a nasty storm moved in that evening!
November 24th Birthdays!
And we decided to do SCREAMHAB! Where you basically scream--and make the neighbors wonder what happened.
Aunt Amanda and Devin.
Just floating along the pool with Aunt Manda!
Jeff's cousin Lindsey, her daughter and step daughter, Amanda, and Alex!
We had a great time hanging with everyone. I'm bummed I didn't get more pictures! Everyone was there except for Kris. Aunt Carol, Micki, Rob, Russ, PJ, Lindsey and Jason and their two girls, Devin! It was awesome.
Sunday afternoon after MORE pool time.
And then Sunday afternoon we were off to the wedding in Weatherford. We all got dressed up fancy and made the hour long drive to the venue.
(somebody isn't happy he got dragged away from the Nintendo).
Devin and her boyfriend, Roy.
The venue was just beautiful. The reception was held in air-conditioning. The ceremony was not...and it as warm!
Beautiful cake that tasted as good as it looked. Jeff REALLY liked the chocolate.
Grooms cake!
This guys had a great time and ended up getting a circle formed around him as he was breaking it down on the dance floor. Wish we would have got more video but sometimes the moment just happens!
It was toasty!
Aren't we cute?
Love these 3!
In Texas you drink Shiner!

Roy and Devin
The groom (Caleb) chatting it up with Alex.
And JR.
The beautiful bride (Alison) and us!
Devin and Alison.
She loved drinking her water out of a fancy water glass.
Congratulations to the new Decker Couple!
We lit a sparkler path as they made their exit...JR of course had to grab two and was pretty stoked.
We had a wonderful time celebrating the wedding, and are glad we went.
Pictures taken from Devin's camera:
I was not amused. LOL.
Monday afternoon after more pool time!
And we hung around Monday and got all packed up for our return home. Another smooth travel day and FREE 7-11 Slurpees in the airport!
Molly and Moses were very happy to see us late last night (around 11:15). Jeff and I celebrate 9 years of marriage this Thursday! We have plans to do the North Pole with some out of town friends on Saturday, and then Sunday we are celebrating our anniversary with Mom and Dad at the Broadmoor for brunch!
I start my injections for my Surrogacy on Thursday--first up is a drug called Lupron for 9 days. I have heard very evil things about some of the side effects. I'm nervous about starting the injections--everything else I have been through before. Hoping for the best!
