Weekly Update

Phew! A busy week and weekend to report. Not stressful busy...but a good busy!

We got last-minute tickets to Sky Sox on Thursday evening from a friend. They were awesome seats, too! Probably the best we will ever get!  It was a beautiful evening and we were hoping to squeeze in ONE more game.  It was clear that the stars aligned and we were meant to be there.

We may have dropped $80 in snacks and food...but it was worth it! Ha!

Loves Popcorn.

This guy got hooked up...twice!  The gentleman in the seat in front of him caught the squishy baseball and turned around and gave it to JR.  Then, another little boy gave him a game ball that he had caught!  How does he do it?

JR has a terrific full week at his new school. He was awarded "Student of the Day" on Friday and got to do a few special things, including leading the line!  Every day he has brought home the "good" colors filled in on his chart.  Every student starts at Green, and can move "up" to blue, pink, and purple (purple being the TOP).  They can also move down from green to yellow, orange, and red (red being a phone call home from the teacher--no bueno). JR had two pink days, a PURPLE day, and a blue day!  So Ms. Francione seems to be pleased with him so far (-:

I decided to pack our weekend full of stuff to do.  So we started Saturday off by visiting the NICU Reunion Picnic at St. Francis hospital.  Since Alex spent almost 3 days in the NICU...we always get the invite.  Usually we are busy or out of town, but the date and time worked this year...so we went!  They had tons of food, face-painting, a balloon artist, a magic show and bounce-houses.

Pre Sox the Fox sighting....

Oh. And they also had people dressed up like Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, and Sox the Fox.  So guess who decided it was a good idea to hide under the table when they were visible?  Needless to say...she was ready to go shortly after arriving and didn't partake in many of the fun activities.  And when I say "many" I mean NONE.

But this guy had a great time stuffing his face full of cotton candy and snow cones! And you can see he didn't waste any time getting his face painted...and gladly made me stand in line with him for 40 minutes so that we could get some balloon art!

After nap time...we visited Larissa and kids at the Cordera pool.  The pool was warm...but HOLY COW was it cold.  The wind had us freezing! The kids still had a blast...but it didn't feel like a typical August afternoon.

Mom and Dad came over to watch the kids Saturday evening so that Jeff and I could have dinner out! We went to Hacienda Colorado and sat on the patio and watched the sun set.  It was perfect! Thanks Mom and Dad!

Ahhhh. So pretty!

Sunday morning...thought this guy was going to land on the roof of my car!

We went over to Angela's house so that the kids could play, and I could look through used clothes.  We get together every 6 months to go through clothes and make trades.  It works out well!

Levi and Lyla had a dual birthday party on Sunday afternoon at Palmer Park.  They had some organized games, pizza, cake, and plenty of swing time.

Levi just LOVES JR.  He was pretty stoked that we came! They have been in the same classroom at Hope for a few months now and have become good buddies.

I dragged Jeff along this time.  (-;

Quick King Soopers trip means a ride (or 3) on the Pony!

No line? Can we ride again?

We have plans to visit the North Pole on Sunday with some friends.  Summer feels like it is leaving us quickly!
