Tuesday night...we put some special "Ready Confetti" under his pillow. He woke up once in the middle of the night and was up super early...I think he was a little anxious and excited!
Lunch packed and ready to go!
Picture Time!
Not amused with little sister stealing some of the show. LOL
The school is K-8...so you can imagine how crazy the parking situation was on the very first day. Picture 600-700 students and ALL their parents trying to park and walk their kids to class on their first day. We had to park quite a ways away int he residential area.
"Please, Mom. This is embarrassing."
He settled right in with his crayons and we left him with a kiss. He had a great first day.
Every day he gets to rotate between PE, Music, Library, Latin, and Art. He loves it!
Bye, bye buddy!
JR completed another Lego set from his "Netflix of Legos" membership.
After dinner walk--piling in the stroller. Silly kids!
Brought him his first completed piece of school work...not quite what he is used to at the Montessori school...but they will get there!
Molly supervising some Lego work..
On Saturday, I took the kids to Gayleen's baby shower at their beautiful new home in Black Forrest. The kids ran around and screamed like crazy people while the adults *tried* to visit. Ha!
Sunday morning movie time! We went to see Shaun the Sheep. It was super cute!
On Sunday afternoon...we met up with the McCrate family who was visiting from Texas. They had just got done with a week long trip through New Mexico and Colorado. So...by the time they hit us they were pretty beat! We met for pizza and wine at Poor Richard's downtown. The kids had a good time playing together while the adults got to catch up.
Grayson and JR:
Alex and Caroline playing in the water puddles after a good rain...
They stayed the night with us at our house, and left super early the next morning to head back home. We were going to try and spend the day at the North Pole...but they had to get back. Next time!
Alex...LOL.
We are off to another great week...falling into a new routine nicely with two drop-offs. If we leave on time...the carpool lane goes rather smooth. But, if you are off by just 5 minutes...it makes all the difference in the crazy traffic. Not sure what the weekend plans are yet...but we might head to the NICU reunion at the hospital on Saturday.
