Blah. April.

So far April hasn't been very impressive! We managed to escape almost the entire cold and flu season with very little. But it all hit last week. Minus Jeff...who is the last man standing...which is sort of amazing considering HE is the one with the crappy immune system. I started coughing last week, and by Friday...Alex started with a fever. She went downhill pretty quickly Friday afternoon, and we were sitting at the urgent care at 8:00 am on Saturday morning. She had a wicked case of Stridor, and that fever had the on-call pediatrician concerned enough to want us to take her in.  A round of antibiotics and some steroids to help open her up...and we were on our way!

Armondo and his crew did finish the house last Wednesday.  I didn't get any really good "before" shots of all the work that had to be done...but I did get some pictures of the old color, and the new color.  Quite a difference!

We liked the darker trim and are very happy with the way it looks!

Back to Alex...she did an amazing job at the urgent care. This is my child that HATES going to the doctor, or anything that even resembles the doctor for that matter.  She was very cooperative and didn't fight the doctor at all. Yay! Go Alex!

Riding the horse at King Soopers is always a treat.

We  had tickets to Disney on Ice later on Saturday afternoon. We debated on not taking her, but she took an early nap and woke up feeling pretty good!  We are glad we went, and she had a great time.

We were lucky to be joined with Catie and family...and we all had a great time enjoying Cars, Toy Story, and a lot of the Disney Fairies.  Completely different show than last year when we went.

Thanks for the picture, Catie!

Sunday was Easter...and the Easter Bunny did not disappoint.  JR is obsessed with Mixels right now, and the Easter Bunny hooked him up with two new sets!  He likes to build them completely unassisted and managed to build 5 of the 6 packs on Sunday.

Babies and a Curious George stuffed animal for Alex. (We ready Curious George every night before bed).

The kids were pretty stoked!

Started on a pack of Mixels almost immediately!

Later in the morning, we met one of our play groups for brunch and an Easter Egg hunt in the park. This is our 3rd year!  Seems to be getting bigger every year.
Cooper and Alexa:

Connor!

It was about this time that we noticed J.R. starting to act a little off.  Lying around and moving sort of slow.  Uh Oh.  He caught the nasty virus that Alex has.

Mr. Logan squirting whipped cream in his mouth...ha~

Mr. Logan and Coop!

Herding kittens for a picture (Alex refused to participate):

She did NOT refuse to take part in the Egg Hunt though!

Full basket...but not feeling so hot )-:

The group going over all the goods!

Ms. Angella and Baby Sam:

It was a great time had by all. After the hunt, we ALL took much needed afternoon naps.

Sunday evening walk with Molly (I ran Moses earlier).

Checking out a nest.  Spring is here!

First signs of flowers in our front yard.  Now if we can kick the sickness and get on with the rest of our Spring and Summer!

JR's Mixel Masterpieces:

And Monday morning...I decided to stay home with the kids.  Starting lineup:

This one has been waking up wet every morning around 5 am from coughing.  Tonight we are sticking her in a diaper!

Once the Tylenol kicked in...we decided to dye the eggs we never got around to on Sunday:

And make cupcakes!

And get some fresh air with a walk to the park:

Jeff is home with the kids today.  One more day and they should be ready for school tomorrow.  We hope.
