Now let's get busy.
This past week was DRAINING. There was some drama at the daycare, and J.R's Preschool Teacher (Ms. Michelle) was let go. We think he is going to be just fine with the change, but they needed to gain control back over the room...and we are hoping for less stress for EVERYONE moving forward. The assistant teacher (Ms. Erika) is stepping up to be the Lead Teacher, and Ms. Cassie (who we like very much) is stepping up as assistant. Boy we hope things can really improve. 6 more months before J.R starts Kindy at RMCA, and we weren't sure how we were going to make it.
Speaking of RMCA, Jeff and I went to a parent's night last Thursday at the new school. We listened to the Head Master talk about charter schools, and "Choice." Sounds like there is A LOT more parent involvement required with this particular school (a good thing), and non-traditional teaching styles that break away from the traditional public school system. We were shocked to learn there are SEVEN Full-Time Kindergarten classes!! WOW.
We got the kids moving along Saturday morning and met The Wilson's and The Eberhart's over at the Freedom Financial Center for Touch a Truck. I think this was our 3rd or 4th year going. Of COURSE J.R had no problems warming up to the huge variety of trucks! All boy! And of course...SUPER outgoing (-:
Alex wasn't to sure at first....took her a good hour or so to warm up to the idea (even with most of the semi horns disabled this year--thank GOD).

Towards the end Alex did NOT want to get out of any of the trucks. She would sit in my lap and I would ask her, "Are you ready to move on to the next truck?" And she would say "No!" Haha.
J.R was already asking for ice cream at 10:00 am. We were able to put him off for a little while, but he got his frozen yogurt along with his buddies!

Learning to fly in an Air Force Glider. I had no idea they were so tiny! This was the first time Jeff and I actually got to see one up close. Very cool!
After the event, we went to Jeff's Favorite...or should I say ONE of his Favorite Burger places in town...Drifter's! Actually, any place that sells cheeseburgers is Jeff's favorite. We then took the kids home for afternoon naps...did I mention the whole family naps on the weekends and it is just amazing? Yep. It is pretty amazing.
After nap time, J.R and I went to little Rylee's Birthday party. She is the SWEETEST little girl. She usually greets us every morning and gives J.R the BIGGEST hug. Can we prearrange a marriage...NOW? Oh, and she loves Batman! So her party was Batman themed! VERY cool. Alex was still napping when we left, so she stayed at home. This party was 1 hour and 45 minutes of play time at Trampoline World, and 45 minutes in the party room. 2 1/2 hours. PHEW. JR was totally wiped out afterwards to a point that he was complaining he felt "car sick." Poor guy!

Did I mention they got a Whole Foods Chantilly Cake? BEST CAKE IN THE WORLD. They got one for her part at the zoo last year, too. Might have to attend every party of Rylee's from here on out. LOL

We took the rest of Saturday night pretty easy after the party.
Jeff sleeps in on the mornings that I go to Orange Theory. It's a nice time for me to get some quality time in with the kids. We color, we play, we make muffins. Of course we took more NAPS, and then the Loomis Family joined us for some Superbowl munchies and the game last night. The kids play great together, and the adults get to chat, drink tasty beer, and enjoy the age of our children that requires a lot less demands. Ahhhhh. So nice!
Not much on the agenda for this week. We have heard that Devin is going to have sinus surgery to help with some drainage issues she is having, and seems to be doing "okay." We don't think at this point she will be able to graduate with her class in June. She is too far behind, and they are encouraging her to finish next year. We will see what happens. Hope everyone has a good week.
