Trying to get the hang of her new age using her fingers:
Silly girl!
Mommy and Alex on her 3rd Birthday:
She got to take "dirt cups" to school for her special Birthday Treat, and after school...we met Grandma and Grandpa at ITZ for more Birthday Fun. Again...trying to get her fingers lined up!
THREEEEEEEE!!!!
Alex was all smiles, and we all had a great time celebrating at ITZ.
Grandma trying to tickle the Birthday girl:
Grandpa being goofy for Alex:
Alex had a great day! Dad's Birthday is next!
On Thursday night, we were invited by Mom's friend Norm, who is on the Board of Rocky Mountain Classical Academy...to tour what will be my new school in August! They just opened up last Monday, and the building is amazing. I'm very excited to start Kindergarten here, and hopefully stick around until at least the 8th grade! This is a K-8 school, and they might have High School offered at this school by the time I get there.
Stadium style seating for concerts and performances:
Super awesome library with lots of natural light during the day:
Huge indoor curly slide for a rewards system:
Alex and I playing in the library:
The gym was HUGE!!!
We have to wait for a confirmation in the next few weeks to make sure I got in...but we were one of the first to get on the waiting list...so Mom and Dad are feeling pretty confident.
On Friday afternoon, Alex had her 3-year well exam. Of course, she was NOT happy about it. I of course...was lovin' it! Don't mind the fact that I was given 4 shots here in October...didn't traumatize me at all!
Alex wouldn't leave Daddy's lap:
I wanted it to be MY appointment. Dr. Reich and Nurse Sharon played along.
Just LOVIN it! Reminds Mom of how Uncle Doug used to be!
Alex was sobbing on and off the entire visit. Sigh. We are complete 180's from each other! She is just as healthy as can be from what Dr. Reich could determine. She weighs 29 lbs, 12 oz and is in the 45th percentile for weight. She measured in at 3 feet, 2 inches (39 inches) and is in the 75th percentile for height! No wonder she is already wearing 4T shirts and catching right up to me!
Medical School. Can you see it?
Saturday morning was spent putting together Legos and hanging out while Dad slept in:
Alex and I got suited up, and had some fun tromping around in the snow. That was until...I pegged Alex in the face with a snowball. Party over!
Dad hung with us on Saturday night while Mommy went out with some of her girlfriends for dinner. She enjoyed her time! Sunday was spent catching up on things around the house, and we decided to take Alex to her very first Movie Theater Movie on Sunday afternoon. Paddington! She loved it and did an excellent job sitting still and watching the movie. She only got fidgety a couple of times.
We got the Royal treatment with popcorn and...wait for it...soda!!! Quite a treat!
We all enjoyed the movie and were very impressed with Alex's ability to sit still and watch a 98 minute movie. Yay!
In Devin news...we were all set to leave this Saturday to go out for another visit. Mom and Dad wanted to be present for her final CT/PET scan results that were scheduled to take place next Monday. But, the doctor's decided to move up the scans to today. The good news is we will hopefully have some fantastic results showing the Chemo has completely killed the cancer...but the sad news is we won't be there! Darn.
Hoping everyone has a good week.
