Summer Fun!

Phew! We had a good (and busy) weekend! Lots going on, and tons of fun and outdoor entertainment. The way summer SHOULD be!

More posing on rocks, anyone?

We took our shoes off and played in the sand for a good hour. Ahhhh.

We had a great week! I had my last swimming lesson for awhile...don't know when we will go back...but we sure will miss Ms. Christiana!

We ended our week with a concert and picnic in the park on the Cordera Grand Lawn with the Loomis Fam. Pizza, ice cream, dancing, and fun with our buddies:

On Saturday, I got haircut #879 and we ran a few errands. After naps, we packed up and went to the LAST Sky Sox Saturday night game of the season. It was PACKED, and the game we went to was the first "at capacity" game they had all season. Figures!!! We still had a blast despite the super long lines and crowds. We had to sit in the grassy area as all the regular seats were sold out. Turns out the grassy area is the way to go! Tons more room to relax and move-about.
Oh, and BATMAN greeted us as we entered the ball park!

Fox the Sox masks were a hit!

No trip the game is complete without a visit to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! Yum.

We had a good time, and left the park around 7:30. We can't wait to go to more games next year.

On Sunday...we went up to Fox Run park to celebrate the 2nd Birthday for this little guy:

Cooper!!!

Alex and I had a blast running around in the pavilion playing games, blowing bubbles, and grubbing down on some yummy food!

Cute little Fox cake made by Ms. Andrea (Cooper's Mom):

Mmmmm...CAKE!

We even got in a little park visit after the party!

Happy 2nd Birthday Cooper!

After the party, Alex and I took naps until almost 5:00. We were ZONKED. We made dinner at home, and Mom tried to take us on a bike ride to a far away park, and it started POURING just as we had the park in site. So we had to turn around. (-: At least Mom got a great workout in pulling 70 pounds of bike trailer and kids behind her!

Tonight...we are going to check out Universal Kempo Karate! We are going to sit down and talk to the SAME folks that taught Mom and Uncle Doug Karate about 25 years ago. Crazy! I'm excited to try something new!

We are headed out to Dallas on Thursday morning. We have to drive to Denver to catch our flight! Alex and I are super excited to see all of our Texas family, and we are looking forward to getting in lots of pool time. Mom will be sure to take plenty of pictures! Hope everyone has a great week.
