Rough Week

Sigh. It's been a ROUGH week. Shortly after Alex came down with her cold virus, I did too! Tuesday evening...I was running a 101 fever and Alex had to be picked up early from school. So, both Alex and I stayed home with Mom on Wednesday. Thursday we were back in school, and on Thursday night my fever spiked again. So, I stayed home with Mom on Friday. I'm happy to report that are fevers have been gone for a few days now and all we have now...are coughs that seem to be improving everyday. Sadly, Daddy seems to have caught the crud on top of all the other issues that he has. Darn.

This was Wednesday morning home with Mom. Alex woke up with a 103.6 fever, and I was clocking 101. It really is amazing that Mom hasn't caught anything.

Alex napping on Mom's lap WAY before naptime...a true sign her little body was working hard to fight things off.

This was taken Friday when she started feeling MUCH better. Showing her Denver Bronco pride!

Me resting on the couch:

Oh...and Ms. Alex has become pretty good at peeing in the potty! She basically ripped off her diaper on Friday, and this is how Mom and Dad found her. She is basically begging them to potty train her. Good news is that she will be transitioning up to the TWOs room next week! Two's TWO, with her new teachers Ms. Krystle and Ms. Harmony. Won't be too long before she can get serious about her wish to get out of diapers.

On Sunday, Mom met Auntie K and Auntie A for lunch. Auntie A sent some late birthday presents home with Mom and Alex had a blast opening and tearing through them. Such a cute little tutu!

Later Sunday afternoon, we went over to Gavin and Gwyn's grandparents house to watch the Denver Broncos play the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl! unfortunately, the Broncos didn't do so well...AT ALL. Good thing Mom was too busy chasing us kids around the house that she missed most the game. )-:
The food and company were good though! So at least we had that.

Maybe next year Denver can pull it off. Let's hope so!

Not much else going on this week...Just hoping Dad can get better soon and Mom stays clear.
