This would be a picture of Alex sitting in the Urgent Care last Wednesday night ready to go the heck home! She had just got finished screaming her lungs out, and was diagnosed with a double ear infection. She is not a fan of going to visit the doctor. In fact, she starts freaking out before anyone can even lay a hand on her, and she continues to freak out the entire visit. This would be wierd, but Mom was the same way as a child (so it runs in the family). Going to see the doctor gave her quite a bit of worry and anxiety. The nurses and the PA that checked Alex out had no hearing left by the time the exam was over, and neither did Mom! They even thought about doing the nasty RSV test, but since her oxygen levels were good...they decided to spare everyone the additional screaming. There are 2 confirmed cases of RSV in Alex’s classroom, so there is a good chance she might have it. Her cough is getting much better, and she is eating and drinking just fine. Alex was given an antibiotic, and we are happy to report that she is doing MUCH better. Dad was able to stay home with her last Thursday, and she was back to school on Friday as if nothing happened. We are all very happy she has returned to her more "normal" sleeping patterns, now that her ears aren't bothering her. Poor baby!
We all enjoyed a very quiet weekend. Now that the Holidays are over, and there is no 1st Birthday to plan for...it was a welcome change of pace.

I got to enjoy a Ring Pop from my Halloween Candy Stash (yes...we still have Halloween candy), on Saturday afternoon because I ate a really good lunch (a PBJ, yogurt, and grapes).
Alex watching Dad pick up dog poop in the backyard (it had been a few months, and let's just say Dad found more poop than he signed up for):
Saturday afternoon we went shopping for blinds for our back sliding glass window. That was a major fail. Not only was it silly for Mom and Dad to take two kids to Lowe's and expect to accomplish anything, they found out that the blinds they wanted would be over $500!! Silly. Just silly. After Lowe's shopping, Dad talked us all into going to Freddy's for dinner. Mom and Dad are back on the Weight Watcher's train, and Freddy's (or Cheeseburgers in general), are Dad's favorite "cheat" food.

Alex and I both took SUPER long Sunday afternoon naps. Mine was 3.5 hours, and hers was almost 3! That is UNHEARD of. We also both ate really well all weekend. Maybe we are both going through a growth spurt.

Mom made a healthy dinner Sunday night. Lots of veggies and lots of prep! Turned out pretty tasty.
Mom and Dad decided to turn my car seat around, so it is now facing forward! Alex also got her "Big Girl" car seat installed Sunday afternoon. No more infant carrier! Sniff.
Alex and I are going to a Birthday Party for my buddy, Jameson this weekend. We also have Saturday evening plans with baby Emma's family. Hope everyone has a great week and stays healthy.
