Long Labor Day Weekend

Hello friends and family! Hope everyone had a lovely looong weekend. We sure did. We had BEAUTIFUL weather! We also had a nice balance of productivity, relaxation, and quality time with each other. Oh, and food! Lots of good food! Mom and Dad actually ended up taking a half day on Friday. They enjoyed a nice lunch, and went and gathered some ideas for my baby sister's nursery. They also bought a really cool piece of wall art from World Market that will serve as the centerpiece for all her decor. Mom has also been on a crazy hunt for girl clothes. She has had two pretty decent scores of clothes from other mom's on Craig’s List. She is feeling a lot better about getting a good start on clothes for baby sister (her name is still TBD).
Box #1 came from a lady early last week:

And then 4 boxes came yesterday when Mom traded a bunch of my clothes for baby girl clothes:

(Molly has to inspect every item of clothing by sniffing it out).
We all enjoyed some yummy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread Saturday morning for breakfast from Great Harvest (a local bakery here in town).

On Saturday evening we decided to take a stroll downtown to Poor Richard's Toy Store. There were SO MANY cool toys for me to play with. I ended up picking out a garbage truck to take home with me. We love watching the garbage truck at daycare come and take the trash away 3 times a week. Sometimes the driver even honks for my classmates and I:

Showing off my new garbage truck:

After playing at the toy store, we went down the street to Panino's for dinner.

We had a great evening.
On Sunday, Mom was feeling kind so she decided to make Dad one of his FAVORITE breakfasts: Biscuits and Gravy (with sausage):

I enjoyed a biscuit with strawberry jam. Didn't care for the sausage so much. We got a few things done around the house on Sunday and made a trip to Lowes to pick out paint for our storage shed and for the baby's nursery. I took a 3 hour nap, and woke up to some homemade Orange Julius:

My buddy Gavin, and his folks came over for dinner on Sunday evening. Gavin and I had fun running around and playing with all my toys. Mom and Ms. Larissa enjoyed talking about babies (Gavin is going to have a little sister in November), and Dad and Mr. Shawn enjoyed visiting about "guy" stuff. Great company!

Yesterday, we hung around the house for the most part. Grandpa came over to help Dad work on the air conditioner in one of the cars. I enjoyed some quality time outside:

Mom told me to go stand by the garage door (that needs to be painted) and say "Cheese!" So I did, just that:

Our backyard is in MUCH better shape than it was this Spring. The grass looks great, and there are still some flowers blossomed.

Notice the shirt I'm wearing? This was given to Mom as a gift from one of her old USA Hockey buddies at her baby shower...back in August of 2009. It fits perfectly now!

Not much planned for the week ahead. Hope everyone has a great week.
