Thanksgiving Texas Trip!

Wrapping up a good week in Texas, and back to reality today!  We managed to escape another bad snow storm while we were visiting 6 Flags, and overall we got to see everyone and enjoyed our visit.  I managed to get TONS of  pictures.  OH! & I turned 39!
Before we left, Moses had his annual exam.  Super healthy and doing great.  However, not a huge fan of my selfies with him in the exam room.

We had awesome travel on the Saturday we left (the 23rd), and got to fly right out of Colorado Springs.  Moses stayed comfey with Rose on the recliner chair the entire week.
I arrived to these from my sweet hubby.  Yum!

Lots of kisses all around from Lila!

We stayed at Mumsie's new place.  She made us beef enchiladas the first evening we arrived.

And picked up some toys for the kiddos.

We didn't waste any time visiting Whataburger with Neil and Carol.

We went to Marty B's for my birthday dinner.  Apparently horse parking is a thing.

Good food and good drink!

Those wings were some of the best we have ever had.

Dessert with 6 spoons for sharing.

Beautiful evening on their huge patio.

My honey and I!

It was a good day!

& ended in even more dessert. Sharon made my chocolate pie!  No wonder my pants are a bit tight.

Layla and JR's foot.

We got to visit Momma...twice! Took her these pretty flowers.

And got to visit with her in her new apartment.  It was very nice to see her.

Then we drove out to Irving to visit with Pat, Adrian, Grandma and Grandpa Shanahan, and a few of Jeff's cousins.

This is baby Susanna--who is Allison's new baby girl (Allison is Jeff's 1st cousin).  She was so cute, and the kids just adored her!

Managed to get a picture of everyone, except for the cousins who didn't stick around too long.

The kiddos with Pat.

We had a great visit.
Jeff and I also managed to sneak away for a tiny date night!  We checked out a place called Draft House.  Cheese curds and beer!  Again--no wonder my pants are tight.

On Tuesday we met Pat and Adrian at 6 Flags for a fun day of Holiday in The Park!

While Colorado Springs was getting dumped on by snow!  Cheers!

We worked our way up to some of the bigger coasters.  Alex sort of freaked out on the last one.

Pretty drinks!

Snack Break.

This guy rode one of the bigger ones...twice.  Once with Alex, and then she said HELL NO not again, so JR and I went just the two of us.  It was so much fun!  Here he is being dramatic while waiting in line.

Posing because I asked them to.

And we held out for some In N Out on the way back to Mumsie's house.  Worth it!

Zima!

And we did brunch with Momma, and this seemed to be a theme.

Check out that pancake soaked in whipped cream and stuff!

Then we went shopping at a cool little indoor antique type mall.  & these two did what they do best.  Ha!

Wednesday evening we picked up Amanda from the DFW Airport! She made it in from Sacramento!

Thursday was Thanksgiving, so I had to do some fancy braids.

We had dinner at Rob's house.  Rob is Micki's boyfriend.  Micki is Jeff's 1st cousin.  They hadn't quite moved in to the house fully yet, but it was perfect for a large gathering and dinner.

Loved the place settings. Fancy!

Amanda and Isabella (Isabella is Anthony's daughter who is finishing up her Senior year in HS. Anthony is Jeff's 1st cousin).

Yummy cheese and cracker spread.

Hanging with Great Aunt Carol!

Rob, Jeff, Anthony, and JR hidden somewhere in there.

Hair credit:  Me!

Awwww. They sure did miss their Aunt Manda!

Visiting in the kitchen.  It was HUGE! I could live there!

The kids table!

Mmmmmmm.  Wonderful!

The adult table!

Hanging on Granddaddy.

Nap time.

I loved their decorations.

So pretty.

Jeff, Aunt Carol, Amanda, Neil, and Alex.

Micki and Rob.

After dinner, we went to Nicole's house to visit everyone over there.  Geesh! So many people to visit.
Lila again!

Pooped! But, we had a great Thanksgiving.

Jeff and Sharon.

Awwwww. Great picture if I do say so myself.

Even better!

Amanda and I.

Cute moment.

This is Nicole, and her son Gabe.  They are good friend's of Sharon's and grew up close to their old house.

My kids love all the furry things to cuddle with.

Layla again.

& Friday morning we were back at the airport! This one...being goofy at Starbucks.

And after getting back and getting settled, we didn't miss a beat getting over to Manitou for Jenny and Jose's Friendsgiving!

Jose is a goof ball.  But that turkey he fried was amazing.

Kids staring at a screen. Weird!

This is Nigel!  Not amused.

Lots of laughs.

Lucas!

Being goofy.

The dinner table.  Man are we lucky to have so many good friends!

Then the game table came out.

We are now in full-blown packed December.  Survival mode from here until January!
