Weekly Happenings

Busy busy week with tons going on.  I had quite a few hours spent doing my BOD duties.  Monday evening was a town hall meeting about school threats.  It was very informative and interesting to hear all the different law enforcement, district administrators, and mental health workers talk about the issues facing our society today.    On Tuesday, myself and some fellow board members left super early to be in Denver at 7:30 am for Charter School Advocacy Day.  It started with breakfast, and then we walked to the State Capitol for the morning.  The kids got to do the pledge to open the House floor, and we got to sit in on the House and the Senate as they were both in session. We also got a special opportunity to step out on the balcony with House Rep David Williams and got a great view. We also took a tour.  It was a fun day!

On Wednesday's I know pick the kids up from school so that they don't have to go to daycare. It is nice to be able to see them and get to help them with their homework.  We got Frosty's for a snack!

Alex just LOVES soccer.  She talks about it all week long and loves to go. She is pretty good, too!


Lili celebrated her first birthday on Saturday! We are bummed we couldn't be there, but it looks like they all had a fun time.



On Saturday afternoon, we decided to journey around the corner and go to the Switchbacks (soccer) opening game.  It was a little chilly, but we all had a good time munching on snacks and watching them play.  It was also St Patty's Day! So we all wore our green.

They had some awesome fireworks after the game! We were amazed we lasted until the end. & the Switchbacks won!

The kids are on Spring Break for two weeks! They are hanging out with Ms. Tori for a couple days, and then joining an IIE program with Gavin and Gwyn at the end of this week, and next week.  We are doing a special movie event at the school tonight. Amber has her baby shower this week, and I think I'm going to start back up at hockey with some friends of mine on Sunday.   Lots going on!
