Weekly Happenings

We had a little "run in" last Wednesday afternoon--or shall I say--Jeff did.  He was on his way to a dentist appointment when BAM.  A 16-year old boy went right into the back of him.  Luckily nobody was hurt--but what a hassle!

The kids got a visit from Kona ice at daycare.  Two thumbs up!

Moses went in for a dental cleaning--I think he thought we were taking him to the gas chamber.  And!  He wasn't allowed to have any breakfast.  Poor dude!  He did great though--and only had to have two teeth pulled.

On Saturday we went over to the West Side for an event called "The Feast of St. Arnold." It was a family friendly event with lots of our favorite local breweries!  The kids had a BLAST--even though JR wasn't convinced he would.

The kids thought the lady on stilts was pretty cool!

Buckets of bubbles!

They had bubbles and balloon fights and gymnastics stuff and a nice playground and face painting and ice cream! Could a kid ask for anything more, really?  OH! And ALEX went potty in a Port-O-Potty!  So proud of my girl!

They both had such a fun time with the gymnastics tumbling that they were sore on Sunday!

Oh! And popcorn--they had popcorn!

And a magic show!

We indeed had a great day in the hot sun. (Not pictured-Alex, who refused).

We decided to celebrate Father's Day early, since I will be in Iowa next Sunday.  Jeff got to sleep-in until 10:30!  And the kids and I went and picked up his favorite donuts.

Not a bad spread for the Best Dad!

We dropped the kids off with Grandma and Grandpa for a few hours so that we could do a drop-in Spin class in the afternoon, and then Grandma and Grandpa joined us back over at our house for dinner.

The kids have a couple different field trips this week, and a birthday party for Connor at the bowling alley tomorrow evening. I leave for Iowa on Thursday to go to my grandmother's service, and get back late Sunday night.
